ItalyThe position of the hotel is on a hill, as a result it's always a bit windy and fresh. There is a free parking on the street. There was a beautiful view on the Tower of Ouranopolis and the sea. It's very close to a public beach and just a couple of km to the nearest bar beach. There are many other beaches around. The hotel is also close to Ouranopolis on a walking distance with sidewalk for almost the whole time. The place is quiet and pet friendly as well as the nearest beach. In Ouranopolis there are shops and restaurants and you can go on a daily cruise to the islands of Ammouliani and Drena. The staff is helpful and the rooms are cleaned every two days. Towels are changed very frequently. It's absolutely an awesome experience!

You will need a visa and women are not allowed ( the hotel we stayed in issued the visa, it was called Alexandros Palace, but there are other facilities which can help to issue a visa), however, this is the most incredible and spiritual journey you will ever have.

Beds were well accommodated with essentials and additional blankets/pillows.

The hotel is very close to the beach, I found the staff very kind and the room very clean. The plenty of variety on the food, I loved the pool, very clean. I was looking for something comfortable on my way to Mount Athos.

We stopped in Ouranoupoli for 1 day before moving to Mount Athos. This hotel is located in an ideal location, we were met by a very attentive and hospitable host at the hotel. The linen and bathroom were absolutely clean and tidy. The price was also normal and acceptable. Thanks to the hotel administration.

Excellent location, on the main street close to the port, tavernas, the beach, and the visa office for Mount Athos.
The apartment is spacious, very well prepared, with a beautiful balcony.
And most importantly - the owner is very friendly and tried to help us with everything during our stay.

I have stayed around twenty times in Ouranopolis over the years, spending the night on the way to and from Mount Athos. I have stayed in almost every hotel and BnB available in the town; and Onar Ouranopolis is by far the best. It is well-situated in a quiet spot overlooking a park; the rooms are large, cool and clean; the owner and staff go the extra mile to accommodate any request — even at the last minute. It is the place to stay !

We spent one night in the hotel before going to Mount Athos. The very friendly girl who worked at the reception offered us to leave the motorbikes under the canopy in the large hotel parking lot while we were on Mount Athos. The triple room we used was equipped with all the necessary things. The beds are comfortable and everything is perfectly clean. There is a seating area on the spacious terrace with a view of the sea.

Hotel located away from the main road in a quiet area. The town centre is only a 15-minute walk away. Parking is available in front of the hotel. Breakfast is served on a pleasant terrace. Friendly staff from whom it is possible to obtain tickets for cruises to Mount Athos.

The location is very nice and is within 5 min walking distance to the beach. We noted that it is used mainly as a hotel for pilgrims to Mount Athos, still, we really liked being here with the family and friends. We received a bigger room than the one we booked, very spacious and clean. The staff cleaned daily the room and the bed sheets and towels were changed. The view of the Aegean Sea is absolutely amazing. Lady Nicoleta is very nice and helpful. The room has everything you need for self-catering.

I booked this property for one night before I departed for Mount Athos and it was absolutely perfect in any way. The room was new, clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is right at the center and all the key points are within walking distance. There is a 24-hour reception and the staff was really nice. They answered all my questions and I even received a complimentary bottle of water. Just a perfect place considering it offered the one of the cheapest rooms, at the time I was searching for a property in Ouranoupoli.
