Hotels near Port of Kalymnos, Kalymnos

You notice the hotel the second you arrive by ferry — it’s one of the biggest buildings around and sits proudly at the top of the hill overlooking the port. We decided to walk there with all of our luggage, including a 20kg suitcase, which sounded like a great idea for about three minutes. After that we quickly realised the walk is actually quite long and especially steep, as you have to conquer quite a few elevation meters. Definitely recommend taking a taxi or renting a scooter/car instead (the prices around town are very reasonable, and your legs will thank you later). The whole property is extremely well maintained, spotless, and just feels nice the moment you walk in. The rooms are spacious and equipped with basically everything you might need: toiletries, loads of towels, hair dryer, iron, kettle, toaster, all kinds of glasses and little extras that make the stay more comfortable. They’ve clearly thought things through. Even the minibar prices (at least for water and chocolate ) were surprisingly reasonable, which honestly feels rare these days. The breakfast was exceptionally good — abundant, very diverse, and made with high quality, tasty ingredients. Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully presented and it really stood out in the best way. It is also served in a very pleasant way, with everything brought directly to your individual table. The host was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made us feel at home right away. The view over the city is also beautiful, and it would really be the cherry on top if one day the breakfast area could be moved to the rooftop. A couple of small things could make the stay even better: bigger beds, mosquito screens on the windows, and maybe hair conditioner since they already provide pretty much everything else anyway. The mosquitoes treated me like an all-you-can-eat buffet during the night.

Everything was perfect. We had best room, 20 metres from beach with amazing view. Room was clean, perfectly equipped. Nice surprise for me was the chaple at hotel areal.

A delightful hotel, clean and quiet. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Making us cups of tea, arranging taxis and giving us all necessary information in good English. I would certainly return if l came back to Kalymnos.

Beautiful place in a great, quiet location. The receptionist was super friendly and had lots of recommendations for us. The room was very nice and clean!

Intimate, new refurbished and great view

The property had new renovations and is very comfortable, new AC units, modern small kitchenette etc etc while still feeling traditional and cosy. Bed was really comfortable, not too hard or soft. the bathrooms are excellent - really quality finish with a fantastic shower. the host/owner Chris is a gent and really goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Honestly it’s 10/10 , a fantastic place to stay.

I spent a whole week at Kaloniki and it was simply amazing! ❤️ Kalotina and Nikita, the 2 hosts and owners, are such warm hearted people and they made me feel at home instantly. Every morning they served me a 5* breakfast and we had such a fun time joking around. They also shared a lot of their family and Kalymnos’ history and gave me great advice on where to go and what to do! And the view from their terrace and the rooms‘ balconies is simply spectacular with the sun setting in front of you every night!! Also, the house is located very centrally and all restaurants, the ferry to Telendos and activities are walkable, and at the same time it’s very quiet since there’s no road close by. The rooms are furnished in a modern way with high quality furniture and kitchen equipment. What a wonderful time! I will definitely come back ☺️

Such a beautiful hotel with absolutely gorgeous staff who made sure we had everything we needed. We had such a nice stay and the location was perfect for climbing, eating out and strolling through the town. Strongly recommended and we’ll definitely be back!!

The politeness and kindness of the staff immediately made you feel welcomed. The food was exceptional and the room’s aesthetic was in perfect harmony with the view and the hotel’s surrounding. Definitely a relaxing getaway with outstanding service.

Perfect location. Near by to everything. The apartment were lovely . The bed AMAZING , lovely pillows . For nighttime there is thick blinds , bug net to have balcony doors open night time. Telendos is perfect and the owners of Afrodite going an extra mile for you. The husband has the mini market where you can find all you need. Thank you for my lovely stay .
