The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was just a short walk into the a street packed with restaurants, bars, convenience stores and rental gear shops. We really didn’t need to travel outside of the area at all. The actual property was very well set up with a great use of space, projector for the tv was great and the rooms were warm.

Amazing place that has exceeded my expectations. Perfect location just at the bottom of a slope. Nice design, you feel as if you were in a chalet in the Alps. Friendly staff and a good restaurant. There is also a lively apre-ski bar just in front of the hotel, seems like belongs to the same group. I would definitely love to return here :)

The staff at hotel oak forest were very helpful. The outdoor onsen was beautiful with the snow falling. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the buffet breakfast extensive.

Location literally couldn't be better, beautiful spacious well appointed modern apartment. Friendly and helpful owners with great communication. Truly a pleasure to stay here.

Our ladies’ skiing trip to Hakuba was made truly unforgettable thanks to this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. A very special thank you to Monica and Keito, whose hospitality went far beyond expectations. Their personal touch, kindness, and attention to every detail made us feel not just like guests, but like friends. They were always ready to help, recommend, and make sure everything was perfect for us. The kitchen deserves a praise as well — every meal was delicious and the perfect way to refuel after long days on the slopes. And ending each ski day by relaxing in the onsen was pure bliss. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and recharge. This hotel offers not only comfort and quality, but warmth and heart — something you cannot easily find. We are already looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hakuba!

The breakfast was a great surprise each morning

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The ski equipment rental is included if you book directly with the hotel and it is super convenient- on the ground floor of the hotel. The rental shop is really good and staff will take the time to make sure everything fits well. Also the equipment is good. The beds are comfy and the pizza restaurant in the hotel is delicious. Breakfast is included. There is a lounge with a television with Netflix which our kids enjoyed for some downtime. The staff went above and beyond by sending me something I left in the room down to Tokyo the next day. The location is really good- close to the bus station with shuttles to other ski areas and an easy walk to the Happo One lifts. On the ground floor there are lockers for your skis and there are two washers and dryers which were very handy and free to use.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bears Lodge Echoland. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We booked a king room with shared facilities. The showers were hot and we never had to wait (although we did shower around peak times). Breakfast was on a rotating menu which gave us a good variety of dishes. The staff were always friendly and happy to assist us. Leti made our stay feel like home, and we got to meet Ghana too. The lodge is located centrally in town so it was very easy to get around. We are already planning our next trip back.

The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Echoland and the wider Hakuba Valley. It’s only a very short walk to the Hakuba Valley Shuttle Bus stop and all the key amenities, including ski rental shops, bars, and restaurants. The staff were incredibly accommodating and even offered pick‑up and drop‑off services to the Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal. The room itself was spacious, quiet, spotless, and well appointed, with excellent heating/air‑conditioning. The bed was extremely comfortable, topped off with an epic duvet/dooner that made it hard to get up in the morning!

Loved how friendly the staff were and how accommodating they were to our big group, made a cake for our friends birthday and even dropped us in to town one of the nights! They had dinner recommendations for our first time in Japan and were very helpful

The facility had everything we needed for our stay.. a great drying room, washing facilities and good food and a bar.

Friendly service, great location… right on a chair lift!

The staff was excellent and helped us carry our bags up to the third floor. The hotel is very well located and provides a free shuttle to its partner hotels. The breakfast buffet was very good. The rooms were quite spacious and we had a big bathtub to soak in. We really enjoyed our stay!

Super hotel. We first stayed here back in 2019 and even thought the ownership has changed the hotel’s still very welcoming and is a great place to stay. This time we had one of the cabins in the forest rather than staying in the main hotel. The apres-ski in the lounge is a nice bonus.They offer a shuttle to Happo-One and Iwatake and back & the ski-bus to Hakuba 47 stops at the end of the driveway, so it’s easy for skiing. The staff couldn’t be more cheerful or helpful so all in all a very nice Christmas break.

Great stay. Had everything we needed and close to restaurants and ski rental gear. The staff were helpful, they are able to pick us up and drop us off from the bus station. Breakfast was good and the rooms were comfortable. We’d stay again

We are happy with our stay even just 1 night, the one in receptionist, I’m sorry I forgot his name, but his english is excellent (which is rare to find) he’s very helpful and kind. The hotel arranged our shuttle to bus station even we noticed them in a short time. Best service ever!!! Thank you so much🙏
