Location onsen food absolutely loved it

The staff are very kind, polite and helpful.

The location next the the ski field and the mineral hot spring were excellent. The Japanese style bedroom was particularly spacious.

Overall, we had a good stay. The room was large with a nice view, and the onsen was quiet and relaxing. A shuttle bus is available, but the location is a bit far. The only major issue was the pillows. They were extremely flat, and no extra pillows were available. I didn't sleep well because my shoulder was uncomfortable. Breakfast is complimentary. We only had it once during our three-night stay because Japanese breakfast wasn't for us every day. Also, the coffee machine was broken for all three days, including the one in the onsen area, so there was no coffee available. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few areas that could be improved.

Everything. The location is perfect and a shuttle is provided to the bus station and center piece. Staff is amazing. Onsens are accessible and always available. Lots of free drinks and snacks

Beautiful place. We love the log cabins that we stayed in. Private yet accessible to the main hotel with a short shuttle, available 24 hours.

This is an older 3 star hotel in a spectacular location, but the dinner was definitely 5 Star. Dinner was amazing. Outstanding value for money

Service from staff is top notch

The location is great, situated between the bus terminal and Yubatake, making it easy to visit Yubatake whenever we like. The room is appropriately sized for a family and offers good value for money. There is a private hot spring that you can use when the room is available; no advance booking is necessary.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were exceptionally happy to help and very friendly. Also breakfast was superb.

We had the most exceptional experience at Shiga No Yu - their staff was incredibly accommodating despite our poor Japanese and they provided a clean onsen, warm and cosy accommodation and most importantly the most amazing meals for breakfast and dinner every day! If you are looking for a traditional experience right outside a chairlift, this is the place to be!

Great location on a beginner slope. Lovely Japanese style room, shared washroom and onsen. Also amazing home cooked traditional Japanese food everyday, we loved it.

Great family run establishment near Ootaki Onsen and Kusatsu Tropical Wonderland. It's about a 15 minute walk from Yubatake, but I preferred it since it's not as stinky. The private onsen was free and easy to use anytime. And the room was clean, comfy, and very pretty. I would recommend it for people who are driving (free parking), are bringing younger children, or just anyone who wants to stay a little farther from the crowds and smells near Yubatake. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable room with a great mountain view and several onsen options within the ryokan area. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent.

This place is just amaZing, the ski in and out, the onsen and particularly the wonderful staff are just phenomenal. Just feels like a good ole fashioned ski lodge, with great vibes and really nice people
