The owner's family is so cute and they are helpful with all kinds of question. The room with balcony is perfet to.see sunrise. However the room rate on booking.com is much higher and it is better to book with the guest house directly.

Excellent location for Kamono Kodo. Small room with beautiful views of the sea. Breakfast and dinner were good. Staff did not speak much English but translate apps worked fine when needed. We came and went from nearby Odomari station and after checking in we did loop walk over the pass and around the coast walk without packs in about 2 hours

This was a truly memorable and awesome stay for us in Kumano. We were kindly welcomed in a house filled with figurines, games and toys from the early 2000s. The host was extremely kind and even helped us set up a projector to watch a movie! One of the most unique stays we’ve experienced in Japan so far! There’s also an incredible restaurant nearby called 食堂 あお where the owner speak English and we got to taste the best fish we’ve ever had! Overall highly recommend!!
