I booked Runway Lodge for a quick transition on Mahe before heading off to other islands. The proximity to the airport and friendliness of the hosts was amazing. With a big smile Tina and Edwin picked us up at the airport and dropped us off early the next morning. The property itself was spotless, air-conditioned and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it.

I love everything about the property. It’s very clean, the staffs are welcoming and ready to assist at any time. In castaway lodge you feel at home as any thing you want is available. Am happy I made the right selection. The kitchen is well equipped.

What a gem! VI Lodge is tucked away on the beautiful north coast of Mahe. It is very private, with beautiful views and stylishly decorated. Gene left us fresh fruits, bread, eggs & real butter with delicious jams. Also milk, coffee and teas. Comfortable bed, good shower, especially the outside shower was a real treat. A very romantic and cosy stay. Gene & Phil was also very generous in allowing us to stay till the afternoon as our flights were in the evening. Highly recommended accommodation and super host. 10/10 score.

The lodge managers went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. They were extremely helpful, considerate, and patient.

We had a great stay at Runway Lodge prior to our Seychelle departure. They coordinated a taxi pickup from the ferry (SR 350)and then also took us to the airport the next morning (included). Omar manages the property and very helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. Omar and also our driver recommended Curry Nation for dinner and that didn't disappoint. We enjoyed the pool and also met the owner who lives next door. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were very lucky to be met by Abdel Fatah from the front desk, he was great in giving us ideas as to how to spend our time in Mahe and which locations to visit since we had our own rented car, the Mission Lodge View point was breathtaking, we wouldn’t have thought of it, but thanks to Abdel Fatah we didn’t miss this experience. We will be coming back to the Savoy for sure again, next time with the rest of the family. The room was fabulous so we’re all the hotel facilities.

The Runway Lodge is such a special property! I immediately felt at home, safe, and comfortable. I wish I had found it earlier in my travels as I would have stayed longer! Denis and team demonstrate such pride in creating a comforting experience, the property is incredibly clean with lovely touches from housekeeping, and I felt like I was staying with friends.

An unexpected treasure find at the end of our holiday. Close to the secluded Carana Beach we were treated like gold. Warm, friendly hosts and staff that went out of their way to make you comfortable. The cherry on top is Chef Bernard whose relaxed restaurant meant that we had 5 star dining without having to leave the lodge. Best Prawn curry I've ever had! Thank you - we'll be back xx
