Lodgings in Balsthal

Amazing people welcoming us, they were fully ready to host us with our bikes and all the mud we brought : water hose for cleaning, a proper area to store the bikes for the night, stacked newspapers to help us dry our shoes and clothes. The heating was accessible inside the room to help dry everything faster. Great experience, thank you!!

The hotel is a short walk from the bus stop in a picturesque little town. We received a friendly greeting and the rooms were nicely furnished and clean. It was a great stay.

First of all, very cost effective. Not expensive, but has a decent size of room, have to say the bed is amazingly comfortable, same as the bed sheet! The hotel is a bit far from the town, which is much better to enjoy the nature. I woke up at 6 am because the bathroom window was completely red, but I didn't go out to check the sun. After we checked out we realized we can absolutely see the whole view of the amazing sunrise! Its a pity we missed it! But hopefully we can go back to stay in the hotel again!!

It was neat, clean and well organised.

The location was within walking distance from the train station 🚉 (Neiderbipp) The staff were wonderful and very helpful - especially with the language barrier. My room was very comfortable, with thoughtful little extras and everything was very clean. The breakfast options were only cold but there was a lot of choice. There was a nice atmosphere.

Nice room with Excellent Breakfast Away from the highway

Great room, clean, spacious, well maintained Great support for self-check-in. We arrived very late and still were able to check in

My recent stay at this place was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the serene and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel's location is truly idyllic, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Every request was met with a smile and prompt, efficient service. My room was spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring a comfortable layout that made it feel truly inviting. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, adding to the overall sense of comfort and relaxation. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a diverse selection of delicious options to suit every palate. From fresh pastries and fruits to savory dishes, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, my stay was perfect in every way. The combination of a peaceful location, exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and a delicious breakfast made it an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this gasthuf to anyone seeking a truly relaxing and enjoyable getaway

The Apartment was good size, Kitchen was big and well Equipped

Very comfortable, clean and cozy apartment. It also had a portable AC. Great view from the apartment.

Very friendly lady, nice location, immens parking, a really nice room with very modern bathroom. In the middle of nature, and I could choose the time for breakfast. I think I will go again if I have to go again there for work.

It’s strategically located between Bern and Basel. The mountainous setting adds a special effect and there is a parking lot too. The town is small and there’s a supermarket to buy some food. The room has everything including a functioning kitchen. It’s clean and spacious. You won’t get the space in a hotel. Heater and hot water were also working. Communication with owner was also good.

Owner was extremely helpful and met us on arrival. Location excellent for one night transit through Switzerland. 2 minutes off the motorway and quiet room. Room was large, bathroom huge, with bath and separate shower, bed and linen needs an upgrade but clean and overall excellent value for the price. We didn’t have breakfast, as we had a very early start, but it was included and there was continental items we could have helped ourselves to. Very thoughtful.
