Firstly, we were happy to be staying in a family-run hotel and to be able to support a family business. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, giving us tips for what to do and where to go and even for restaurants in the area as we were there during Christmas and the selection was very limited. We were also kept up to date about the weather and various other conditions in the general area. The breakfast was amazing, including the selection of the family's homemade jams. There were so many that we couldn't try them all! Fresh bread, loads of cold cuts and eggs, a huge variety of cereals, and fresh fruit.

This hotel is a really great base for those who are visiting the amazing Swiss Saxony! The room is cosy, simple but comfortable. The staff is really nice and helpful although it was a bit challenging to communicate, as they hardly speak English. And yes, the food.. The food in this hotel is like a Michelin restaurant! Do yourself a favor and book half board, to enjoy amazing and very special dinners.

Breakfast was reasonably good. Self check-in but it was pretty easy. It provided free parking space. Conveniently located for access to the Sachsen Swiss National Park. Great value.
