Lodgings in Kaga

Big thanks to especially Mr Feng Hui Qi who was very helpful , accurate , patient with always a smile . Good hotelier he is . Hotel has a great location , facilities and spa . Beautiful nature .

Great place to relax! The hotel is beautiful, with plenty of nature around. The onsens are open all day too, so you can always take a relaxing bath. Hotel also had convenient facilities such as a washing machine and a vending machine room, which is great given their isolated location. The food from the restaurant was great too!

The hotel was right beside the train station …

Huge facility, great food, outdoor onsen, and pretty yukata choices. Great service and friendly staff.

This was a unique experience. Having a hot open air bath to the sounds of birds and a waterfall… unforgettable. Beautiful view from the room, the facilities are all new and clean, the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful

You have to stay here. New facility, everything was clean and inviting. So many perks like welcoming snack and drink area, family game room, library and reading spaces, AMAZING FOOD!!! Loved the hikes along the gorge and such an inviting town overall. This was the highlight of our trip. Onsen had indoor and outdoor pools. Every amenity you could want.

The Yamanaka Onsen Kagari Kisshotei was the perfect place to unwind after traveling Japan for almost 2 weeks. The location was beautiful and so serene, alongside the river. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. When I forgot to notify them that our daughter was a vegetarian prior to arriving, they made sure to accommodate with her breakfast and dinner meals were just as delicious as ours. The food was a work of art and the it was a pleasure to relax in their onsens prior to returning home. I highly recommend staying here!

The whole place is beautiful! The atmosphere is so peaceful you instantly relax. The food is great, the staff is very hospitable and they speak great english, and the onsens are amazing as well. Really recommend!

The staff are really nice and welcoming. There are some inner activities like table tennis and karaoke. The public bath is nice. The hotel's backyard is nice with a beautiful view of the lake. Parking is free. There are plenty of vending machines.

The atmosphere at this hotel is very family-friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised. You can truly relax and unwind. The hot spring on the balcony was exclusively for our use – an amazing experience, especially in the mornings... We were looked after by an incredibly warm person, who made this stay unforgettable, as was Mrs. Tomoko. We had two meals served in our room by Mrs. Tomoko, and we felt both at home and in a three-Michelin-star restaurant. The food was simply amazing. The presentation and flavors were a great experience. We will definitely choose the same hotel with an onsen if we visit Japan again. Janka

The traditional japan style room is gorgeous , the tatami is clean , i like it so much, the buton bed is warm n comfortable, the room is big can stay 4 to 6 people.

Room is spatial and has good view. The staffs are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Complimentary tea and snacks are good.

We had a great time at the dinner and breakfast buffets, and the view from the outdoor onsen (had indoor and outdoor components) was lovely; great watching the gorge flow by on a rainy spring day. The host didn't speak English but had prepared a little sheet with all major information we needed on it, and was very willing to communicate with us through Google Translate to answer any questions we had!

The staff they are all helpful and the food is so good especially the crab and seafood, definitely coming back.

Yukai Resort Saichoraku had great baths, beautiful facility, clean rooms, and a fun game room including ping pong. It was a five minute walk to a grocery store. It was also a 5 minute walk to the town bathhouse, shrine, and main area for their Shobu Festival.

Sprawling property with great facilities. Great onsen. Staff was super helpful. Breakfast and dinner buffets were of exceptional quality and a reason to stay there.

Food was amazing, facilities really nice.

The staff was amazing, very helpful and thoughtful. The room was beautiful, the private onsen was large with a sizable patio, dinner was delicious.

Exceptionally nice staff, very nice onsen

The room we stayed was exceptionally huge!

We loved the Kaga Onsen region, and Ken was a wonderful host. He picked us up from the train station and drove us to the property. Since we only speak English and Ken speaks Japanese, he used a smartphone translator to communicate with us, which was incredibly helpful. We really enjoyed hearing him explain the town, the amenities, the room, and the food. The property is older and definitely shows its age, but it is meticulously maintained and that actually adds to its charm. It feels authentic and full of history rather than overly polished. We also loved sleeping on the futons on the floor, which made the experience feel even more traditional. Make sure to spend some time walking along the river and exploring the town. We found the whole area peaceful and deeply relaxing. The food pushed me a little outside my comfort zone in the best way possible, and everything was excellent. Our only “complaint” was the sheer amount of food. Come hungry because both dinner and breakfast are huge.
