We visited the spa and pool area, and had a delicious dinner (with wine pairings) and breakfast. The property is unique with a modern vibe and stunning views.

Location is great, aside the river. We stay in a bungalow, a bit smaller than we thought, but the bonus with a small pool next door :）

The breakfast had lots of choices and was very good. The grounds, location and buildings were so interesting and well kept. Highly recommend this location and gracious host to anyone.

We liked the architecture and the landscaping. The parking was good. The terrace was pleasant to sit and have a drink. The room was modern and comfortable. It had good hot water.

It was close to the centre of town and had a lovely view of the river but the standout was Luisinha herself who was incredibly kind and attentive offering wine and cheese in our arrivals to check in and even a cup of tea and cookies when we returned after dinner.

It was very well equipped in a small space. The owner/manager answered questions quickly. The deck was so lovely.

The house is amazing. Very much a Portuguese house with its charm. Heating rooms a bonus . The lady that took care of us ( Luzia) was super kind and lovely.

The room, building, location

Up 47 stairs leads you to an AMAZING flat! This place has everything you need and want! Very comfy queen bed, lots of space, awesome shower, two look outs (one over city, one over river), tv in bedroom and living room, A/C, high end appliances & laundry. One of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed. Amarante is wonderful!! We will return 🥰

What a treat to be able to stay in a piece of Portuguese history still run by the family.

We had a great time at the apartment, thanks to Miguel who gave us a great welcome, local recommendations, plus some local wine! Great views from the balcony and an easy walk into Amarante. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.
