Lodgings in Viseu

The hotel was better in person vs online. It exceeded our expectations! The vintage building has been upgraded without losing it's charm. The wood floors are beautiful preserved and they creak in that way the says you're home. The weather was cold and raining when we arrived but the room was toasty and welcoming like a warm cozy winter's night. The cleaning staff was warm, friendly and happy; singing contentedly while working. I love when employees are happy and enjoy their jobs. It makes for a wonderful atmosphere. It felt good, if that makes sense. We had breakfast included with our reservation. There was a wide selection of breakfast items: a variety of breads, fruit and juices, hot food like eggs, bacon, sausage, fried mushrooms, yogurt, granola, more condiments than you need but are appreciated, and hot coffee and a hot coffee station for special selections like cappuccino. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure we had a hot breakfast when we arrived late on our first morning. Every morning after that was the same amazing service and happy disposition. We were impressed with everyone that we encountered during our visit, from reception to housekeeping. Great job Avenida

Very large 2 bed apt. clean and welcoming. Quiet bright and well equipped. 5 minutes from old town by car. Some interesting but nice design choices (pink toilet paper, candelabras) Plenty of parking.

It was great, good space, comfortable, great location. Host was great and he own the restaurant next door where we had tapas and those were also great!

Staff was super friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Exactly what was needed for a quick trip to sleep. Also breakfast was perfect.

Cleanliness, service and excellent location

We were greeted warmly after parking in front of the easily accessible, secure, free parking in front of the hotel. Our stay at this well located and beautifully restored home of a revered Viseu teacher/archaeologist has been a highlight of our travels around Portugal. This is a family owned and run hotel and pride of ownership is clearly evident. The family was so gracious and kind and we learned so much about life in this region from them. The lovely, spacious room and large bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning!

Very close to alot of things. Park, great sushi place near by. Loved the safe security code system to enter. Friendly staff.

the staff was exceptional and the room was very spacious and comfortable, very nice place but the service was the star of the show, breakfast was great and Luana even gave us snacks for the road. I recommend and if I'm back in Viseu I will book here again!!

The location is outstanding, although a bit difficult to locate using GPS.

They were able to accommodate an early check in and super kind.. There was complimentary water and coffee available.

We stayed one night. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and there is a water boiler with some tea which is a nice addition. Beds are soft and quilts are very pleasant to use. There is a place to park a car

This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice.
