We loved the beautiful, peaceful location which overlooks the mountains. The environment was relaxing. The hosts were very friendly. They put a lot of effort in making the guests feel welcomed and at home. The breakfast in the morning was a feast for for a king! Everything was perfect. We would definitely return again.

Such a clean, cozy, and homey place to stay in Chiayi! We booked a #4 room which has a bathroom attached to the room. The bathroom was not wet dry separated but was very clean with all the amenities you need. Bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in a long time while thanks to the SleepyTofu mattress! Loved the downstairs shared space with old school decor, water station, and coffee. Host was very responsive and friendly! I would definitely recommend this place!

Huge room with the high ceilings, huge bed, very special clawed foot bathtub, interesting Thai-themed decor that is unique and works. This is one of the best hotel rooms that I have had anywhere in the world. Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Family Mart and PX Market next door, and many food options.

Green Hotel is just a short walk from Chia Yi Train Station and also close to Wen Hwa Road, a bustling street full of delicious food options. Even though it’s on the street, our room was surprisingly quiet. We booked a slightly bigger room, and for the price, it was such a steal! The bed sheets and pillows were super comfy, the shower pressure was great, and the room had everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and adorable—just like most Taiwanese people we’ve met! They recommended 豆奶攤 for breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, in this city area, there’s no need for hotel breakfast since there are so many amazing options nearby. We’ll definitely stay here again next time, especially if we’re planning a trip to Alishan!
