We didn’t expect the host to send someone to pick us up at the airport, so it was a very pleasant surprise to be welcomed with a beautiful, fragrant lei. Booking.com said the airport shuttle required a fee, but in fact it was completely free. It’s quiet and conveniently located near the coast and the Moai sites. Breakfast was delicious, with freshly cut fruit. Even though it’s called a hostel, it’s better than many hotels: it has a beautiful garden, very attentive staff, and three friendly dogs! They welcomed us back and even guided us to the Moai site!!! By the way, there is no IVA on the island, despite what Google/AI may say. Therefore IVA rebate is not applicable.
