I had a lovely time at the Setha about the world homestay . They picked us up from the bus station and made us feel welcome. We ate lunch and breakfast there and both were good. The kids and funny and cute. It was super hot when we were there (around 40degrees in the daytime) but night time was still ok for sleeping with the fan in the room. I would recommend it if you don't mind being out of town a little. I'm Battambang we saw the bamboo train, the bat cave, temples, killing caves, and checked out the town. There are some good places to eat in town - Eden cafe and The Fringe.

Battambang is a great place to visit and the homestay is just delightful. Savet picked us up in town - such a friendly guy! The homestay is set in a beautiful garden and has been fitted out really well, with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The small balcony is lovely to sit out overlooking the garden. Savet's family are lovely and so welcoming. Be sure to go out on a guided cycle ride with Savet - he knows so much about the area, the culture and the history of Cambodia. I would highly recommend and hope to return one day.

The owner (mum) and her whole family are lovely! They really take the time to talk to you and if you are lucky you even get to have dinner with the whole family (they also cook veggie if needed). Since we were leaving very early they provided us with a great early breakfast to go. Taking the tuk tuk tour with Harry (brother) is also recommended.

The best place to stay in Battambang! We will definitely stay here many more times. They took care of us the entire time and helped us whenever we needed. It might be a bit far from town for some people, but if you really want to stay in a local homestay and share a great time, it’s only a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride from the city center. And please try the cooking class!
