Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. This place was amazing!! The private onsen was perfect, they even have a web you can check through your phone to check availability. Staff can speak english and its really quiet. Perfect for resting.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. The place was magical. The onsen is amazing, the room was traditional japaneese. While you don't have the luxury of a 4-5 star hotel, you don't really need it. The rooms are comfortable, sleeping in old japaneese fashion on a mattress on the floor is waaay more comfortable than expected (good for bad back). Big plus for the mixed ryokan, can join there with your partner. And the food was just super. Not to mention the staff, they were very nice. Highly recommend it!

BUNA KUSATSU Onsen Inn er nýlega enduruppgerður gististaður í Kusatsu, 47 km frá Jigokudani-apagarðinum. Boðið er upp á loftkæld herbergi með ókeypis WiFi og einkabílastæði. Online reply is fast and clear, hotel staff is super easy to communicate and friendly. The room is really nice and the property is super quiet.

This little Ryokan-style hotel was so nice that I missed it very much after leaving Kusatsu Onsen. I have stayed in a total of 14-16 hotels all over Japan by now (over the years) and this is easily one of the best (if not the very best). I appreciated the vegetarian breakfast very much: it was very elegant as well as nutritious. They also checked the ingredients with me. The wide Tatami mat area exceeded expectations: I could relax with panoramic views of the snow capped mountains while dining or just working (digital nomad-ing was easy with fast wifi). There were many drawers and cupboards: storage space was never an issue. The Toto Smart toilet was more advanced than those variants in 5-Star hotels. The hotel is proximate to all the important places and just opposite the bus stand: I only just had to cross the road with my luggage. I also discovered multiple short routes to Yubatake every single day (I stayed for three days). The same family/organisation also operates the Yume Hana restaurant next door and guests of Oyado Yukizumi receive a complimentary beverage service while dining in Yume Hana. The Yukata they provide is very nice and I wore the same to the main Onsens in the area. The staff are very caring and kind hearted, for example, when I was leaving, seeing that it was raining, they asked me to take their umbrella with me (I declined the same). Later, I missed the level of kindness and attention to each individual guest I received while staying here - that is something you will not get from large branded hotels. Thank you, Oyado Yukizumi, I was very touched.

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) er staðsett í Kusatsu, 45 km frá Jigokudani-apagarðinum og 14 km frá Mt. Shirane. I think this will be one of my best experiences in Japan, everything was perfect! The hotel itself is very charming, the bedroom incredibly beautiful with an amazing view, the bath really nice, had an amazing breakfast and most of all the host was truly amazing. If I come back to Kusatsu, I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Super good stay. Very attentive personel and extremly friendly. Very good japanese food. Good communicatipn and flexibility

Soumeian er staðsett í Kusatsu á Gunma-svæðinu og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði ásamt aðgangi að heitu hverabaði. The room was clean and very spacious! The hotel offers pyjamas and Yukatas for guests. The breakfast was so tasty and the service was incredible! The Onsen is private and available from 3pm to 9am. Overall we loved our experience and would come back anytime.

Sekizenkan Kashotei Sanso er 4 stjörnu gististaður í Nakanojo, 36 km frá Ishidan-gai-tröppunum. Boðið er upp á bað undir berum himni. Gistirýmið er með loftkælingu og er 49 km frá Naeba-skíðasvæðinu. So beautiful! The food was amazing the service was phenomenal. The room was better in person and well worth the money
