Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Great location and charming accomodation and room. The onsens were some of the best I've ever used in Japan, the extra hot bath is especially great on a cold night. Staff were extremely helpful and showed me places worth visiting in Kusatsu. Would definitely stay again.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. Outside onsen is spectacular. I absolutely recommend to spend at least one night there. Nature environment is astonishing. Very quiet place. Dinner and breakfast very good. The hotel is not new, as many reviews say, but i found it really nice. We has some extra needs and staff Made everything possible to Meet them. I really appreciate their help

BUNA KUSATSU Onsen Inn er nýlega enduruppgerður gististaður í Kusatsu, 47 km frá Jigokudani-apagarðinum. Boðið er upp á loftkæld herbergi með ókeypis WiFi og einkabílastæði. Location, staff, kitchen/common area and the private onsen. Parking lot was plenty. The hostess let us check-in early even though we arrived relatively early. The rooms were traditional style with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Minakami Onsen Aratashi Minakami er staðsett í Minakami, 33 km frá Gala Yuzawa-skíðadvalarstaðnum og býður upp á gistirými með verönd, ókeypis einkabílastæði og veitingastað. Hotel staff is friendly and really made us feel at home with their personalised service. We love the Kaiseki dinner, their sets breakfast, and their rooms are equipped with private onsen and it is Modernised and exceptionally clean. Their public onsen is spacious, clean and fully equipped.

This little Ryokan-style hotel was so nice that I missed it very much after leaving Kusatsu Onsen. I have stayed in a total of 14-16 hotels all over Japan by now (over the years) and this is easily one of the best (if not the very best). I appreciated the vegetarian breakfast very much: it was very elegant as well as nutritious. They also checked the ingredients with me. The wide Tatami mat area exceeded expectations: I could relax with panoramic views of the snow capped mountains while dining or just working (digital nomad-ing was easy with fast wifi). There were many drawers and cupboards: storage space was never an issue. The Toto Smart toilet was more advanced than those variants in 5-Star hotels. The hotel is proximate to all the important places and just opposite the bus stand: I only just had to cross the road with my luggage. I also discovered multiple short routes to Yubatake every single day (I stayed for three days). The same family/organisation also operates the Yume Hana restaurant next door and guests of Oyado Yukizumi receive a complimentary beverage service while dining in Yume Hana. The Yukata they provide is very nice and I wore the same to the main Onsens in the area. The staff are very caring and kind hearted, for example, when I was leaving, seeing that it was raining, they asked me to take their umbrella with me (I declined the same). Later, I missed the level of kindness and attention to each individual guest I received while staying here - that is something you will not get from large branded hotels. Thank you, Oyado Yukizumi, I was very touched.

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) er staðsett í Kusatsu, 45 km frá Jigokudani-apagarðinum og 14 km frá Mt. Shirane. Very friendly staff. The hotel also has a great location , right near shopping areas and the nearby onsen park.

Chigira Jinsentei er staðsett í aðeins 46 km fjarlægð frá Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park og býður upp á gistingu í Shibukawa með aðgangi að baði undir berum himni, garði og lyftu. The food was really good, the onsen was excellent and no complaints about the location!

Minakamisansou er staðsett í Minakami, aðeins 36 km frá Gala Yuzawa-skíðadvalarstaðnum og býður upp á gistirými með aðgangi að baði undir berum himni, sameiginlegri setustofu og lyftu. Amazing ryokan with great view in serene area, you can really relax and just enjoy the scenery in outdoor hot spring. I might be a bit outdated and it is remote area so not all staff speak English but we didnt mind and they made extra effort to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay.

The place was really beautiful: the perfect place to relax. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious...I think it is the best stay I've had in Japan so far and definitely the best in kusatsu (my 3rd time there)

Sekizenkan Kashotei Sanso er 4 stjörnu gististaður í Nakanojo, 36 km frá Ishidan-gai-tröppunum. Boðið er upp á bað undir berum himni. Gistirýmið er með loftkælingu og er 49 km frá Naeba-skíðasvæðinu. The place really looks magical, like in spirited away. The staff was so polite and helpful. Food was exceptional, one of the best I had on this holiday in Japan. Place clean and spacious
