The building is wonderful, the staff so friendly, from being picked up at Hanno station (30 minute drive) to the receptionists and the servers, everyone is so attentive and respectful and nice. Free beer in the lounge is a winner. The baths while not huge are clean and hot, just as I love it. The food is exquisitely good. I would highly recommend Taishikaku

Location is great, just a 5-7 straight road walk from Oomiya station (Saitama). The main street has various of shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was great! Enough space to open two small luggage at the same time. Although its near a main road but the window blocks out 99% of the noise, very quiet at night. 100% recommended! Will stay here again!

My room was incredibly comfortable, and I had a very pleasant stay at OSO. The owner of the property, Mr. Shigeru was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. He gave me many good tips for sightseeing both nearby and off the Skytree line! This is an amazing property for guests to experience life in a Japanese household. The price of this property is impossible to beat! despite being a shared house my room was private, and the house was generally quiet throughout the day/night. I also enjoyed talking with other guests. There is a common room where guests can relax and converse. Finally, the location--Sengendai is a quiet area which could be considered either a positive or negative depending on who you ask. But the accessibility via rapid lines south to Tokyo make it a very convenient station for those who wish to travel to the city. There are bikes available for rent at the property which make exploring the area quite easy!
