The accommodation is really good but surrounded by a very dirty and poor area, so don't be negatively impressed while approaching the accommodation. It is located 5-10 minutes walk to the monastery. The rooms are good and very clean. The breakfast was the hilight. It's very simple but bery intimate. A variety of local jams was served with bread, cheese, boiled egg, and tea. We also asked for Armenian coffee and the lady promptly served us. All in all it's was a good overnight stay.

From the minute we arrived, the host, Maria made us feel welcome. The heater in the room wasn't working but they took care of that right away! We had dinner and breakfast there and the food was amazing. I was able to sit and chat with her for a bit and it felt like I was at my home away from home. The location with the view of the monastery is amazing to wake up to. I was traveling with my husband and son and she asked if we wanted a bigger room but we were fine with that for one night. If we were staying longer we probably would have preferred a bigger room. The beds were comfortable.

Initially I considered one night but booked two, and then had to extend because I didn’t want to leave. The kitchen is always open to cook for you and the food is consistently good. The owner, Irina, truly goes above and beyond to make your stay great. As a solo traveler without a vehicle, the location would have been pretty inconvenient if she weren’t on hand to find me cheap taxis everywhere I wanted to go. She was full of suggestions for me for activities in the area and even took me out to the mountains one day to show me her local chapel. Unforgettable experience, I really hope to come back one day with my family and do it again. This area is wonderful and this B&B is special.
