Great hospitality and support from the host. She provided even medical pills that we needed due to a difficulty we had, after the communication with a local Medical Doctor. Fresh homemade food for breakfast and dinner. We bought very good local wine at reasonable price.

The food and wine was exceptional . Beautiful surroundings and many things to see and do around . I recommend to see the Rozhen monastery and the Zlaten Rozhen winery :)

A wonderful family hotel on a peaceful spot next to the river, surrounded by silence and beautiful nature. The hosts are so warm hospitable people, that make you feel like home, cooking delicious homemade meals and tasty breakfasts that you will never forget. The room is very clean and cosy, it has everything you need. I highly recommend Hotel Mehana Vodenitsata if you are looking for an exceptional stay in the region of Melnik and Petrich.

Great place to stay, authentic and comfortable.

Sizeable clean rooms, good sized beds and rustic furniture. TV sets with English, Bulgarian, French channels. Bathroom small but clean and as you would expect normally. Restaurant and hotel with romantic fireplaces and actual wooden log-fires. Picturesque village with lots of hotels and restaurants, people friendly and want to help. Very friendly personnel, the ladies in the restaurant and reception were helpful despite very little English language knowledge. Small streets and limited parking in the area - but remember this is a village. Nearby is a village museum that opens at 9am.

The Velev House is a must for anyone coming to stay in Melnik. The care in which the owners have taken in their renovations is obvious and it makes for a very special stay. It was fun to hear about the history too. And the breakfast - while simple - was delicious. We've never had a pancake quite like that. Melnik itself is special and a stay at the Velev house makes it even more special.

Amazing atmosphere, very clean rooms, very polite staff, perfect location. There is free parking spots at front. The food was very delicious, I would recommend to try Mekici for breakfast. We will visit again!
