Small hotel run by a couple of friendly woman. They kept our big luggage for 4 nights while we went to the rice fields and then to Yangshuo. Easy to communicate as they speak English, which believe me, is not something you can take for granted in China, not even in touristy areas. For this reason alone, I think this is probably the best hotel to stay at if you don’t like the hassle.

Lovely location in an old village close to the mountains and cave. Village has a couple of shops, cafes and restaurants. Only 15 minutes from the stations and city center. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially towards our young children, which made us feel very welcome.

1) This boutique hotel is locate Lujia Village is a small village on the bank of the Reed Flute Scenic Area and the Taohua River in Guilin. Lujia Village is only 2 kilometers from the center of Guilin. It is one of the first 16 famous villages in Guangxi. They are also known for making tofu. 2) The hotel staff always went over and beyond for us. They helped us book our tour tickets, get a taxi where ever we were, prepared food that we want, and even did online shopping for us. They made the impossible possible for us especially when they were able to find the shirt that my son has been looking for. 3) We didn’t have to travel outside the village to find home-cooked dinner meal , especially after a day of sightseeing! Just about 3 minutes walk from the hotel is our favorite family restaurant. We ate there every night. 4) The inside of the hotel is newly renovated. It gave a vibe of simplicity and functional. I like that they have bathtubs in the rooms that we got. We even had access to the rooftop! 5) Their breakfast is so customizable! They always ask us what if we have any requests the day before breakfast. I personally enjoyed the Guilin Rice Noodles. What an incredible first experience in China!

This is our second time staying at this hotel, and we love the deep Chinese cultural essence it embodies. Whether it’s the living environment or the food and tea offered in the restaurant, everything reflects the refined taste of the hotel owner. The property was very clean and amenable. I often frequent The lobby area and restaurant and chat with the staff. The hotel manager Yoyo and his wife Fei were very warm and helpful to me during my whole stayed at the hotel. The room was cleaned, organized, and with everything a traveler with need. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers looking to venture into Guilin and it’s adjacent areas. Fei is very knowledgeable about the area and activities. Super happy with my time here. Also the Yoyo’s pizza was really delicious.

The property is in a very convenient location in the middle of Guilin only a short walk away from the central square, Elephant Trunk mountain, the main train station, and a neighborhood alley with tons of great local food and breakfast options. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had a relaxing natural wood vibe. The staff were also very helpful and personable, providing a full set of recommendations on what to do and where to go during our stay in Guilin. They also helped us coordinate a drive from the west railway station. I also had a great conversation with who I think was the owner about tea on the morning we left. There's also a rooftop terrace that became my favorite spot to welcome in the morning and close out the evening!
