Everything was wonderful. I truly knew that I was on vacation since everything was available, clean, restful and done for me. The location was perfect, peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing. A hidden gem that everyone needs to find.

The staff, the food, accommodations, and location were excellent. It felt like a home away from home. So much better than any corporate run hotel. I had an incredible time with people who clearly love what they do.

Breakfast was well cooked. Presentation was great and the chef was friendly.

Everything is very authentic. A cozy, small, and stylish hotel. Quiet and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There are cafes, restaurants, and small shops nearby. A 7-minute walk to the beach. I will definitely come back here.

Beautiful secure spot, short walk to the beach

We had the two bedroom villa with the terrace in between (villa 1). We loved having the two separate areas. One bedroom had the two twin beds, tv and kitchen and the second areas was the queen bed and bathroom. The shower is outside and I was a little wary about that but it was fine…very private. The pool is glorious and very clean. The grounds are immaculate. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We are just learning Spanish so we did need our handy translator to communicate 😊

Doris and Johnny were wonderful hosts- their garden is a slice of paradise. The pool is the perfect temperature! We saw monkeys in the trees. It’s really nice that the property is small and located in a quiet area, a couple blocks off the dusty main road.

The breakfast was great and the workers were very nice. The hotel was also very spacious and safe and the hammock outside was very nice. The food was always very good here for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Everyone from the owner, manager and the volunteers were so sick just hanging out, surfing, and helping make sure we had a great stay. the included shuttle to take people to surf/beach/restaurants or anywhere in town was clutch. ive never seen a hostel provide a free shuttle around town. ive stayed in dozens of hostels from Nicaragua-Bolivia-Morocco-Bulgaria and this was one of the best ive stayed at honestly

Quiet little oasis, plenty of room and amenities

Beautiful tranquil bungalows and property. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The owner family is amazing and had great recommendations also for our further travels. The walk to the beach is fine and the beach bar restaurant is great too.

The hotel was awesome! we loved the pool and all the wildlife. The owners and staff made us feel right at home and took excellent care of us, even helped us find a car to rent while we were there. Cj met us there upon our arrival and was kind enough to take me to a restaurant to get food for my wife and son. 10 out of 10 would recommend! we will definitely be staying here on our next visit to Avellanas.

We loved the location and the staff was so nice and helpful! We also liked that it wasn't super crowded.

My family found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the daily activities such as the sunset cocktails, marshmallow roast on the beach, massages at the spa, and classes we signed up for. Also the ability for the 15 of us to get together and relax in the patio area.

This was the nicest place we stayed during our trip. Do not hesitate to book! You will need a car but totally worth it. Paradise!
