The staff were extremely accommodating when we were arriving late, and agreed to a compromise that allowed us to arrive the same day and them to go home at a reasonable time. The premises had pretty good amenities for cooking given the circumstances, and were very clean and well kept. The location is excellent and pretty quiet, and there were so many animals living in the trees around the holiday houses.

A family-like hotel in an old-looking building well out of town but close to a lake. Onsite restaurant with few choices but very good ones. We had a large bilevel unit with 2 beds plus a crib downstairs, and 2 beds upstairs.

Beautiful setting, exquisite mix of casual and special. Comfortable and personal without being overdone. The grounds are beautiful—close to nature and the lake, which is beautiful and clear for swimming. We felt like we were the only ones there. Very special. Personal service with a caring and passionate owner present.

This is really a good option if you are on a road trip (e.g if you arrive with that evening ferry to Travemünde). Just 5 minutes off the highway, and you can park in front of your room. The room was no-frills, but spotless clean and very quiet, recently renovated with IKEA furniture. The bed was comfortable.

Our stay at the Sea hotel with this splendid. We did have a couple of minor glitches in that the toilet broke, and the hair dryer didn't work, but the receptionist with kind enough to come up and look at the toilet and issue us a new room next door which we could either move everything into, or just use the bathroom of. We really loved our room, so we just used the restroom there. So in essence we got to experience two exceptionally beautiful rooms for the price of one all just because our toilet broke. We were slightly disappointed that we showed up on the day that they only had pizza at the restaurant, but after enjoying their traditional pizza, we were blown away. Even though our room with a balcony with about the best room we've had in decades, the highlight for us was the sea sauna. You literally cannot get more relaxing than that! So to conclude, yes we would definitely recommend Sea Hotel to anyone who is looking for a unique, charming, and homey inn.
