Immaculate property, exceptionally friendly and by far the most welcoming host we have encountered at B&b’s we have stayed at. Always available if we had a question, but since they live in the house next door, very private for the guests. We had to be up at 4 AM to leave and catch a ferry so Em packed us a breakfast to go the night before. Can't recommend her highly enough.

Beautiful, clean, peaceful suite. Marina was an amazing host, very welcoming, wonderfully organized, and she provided an exceptional breakfast for us (much more than expected and all fresh and homemade). Highly recommend the Woodside Guest House. Lovely location especially with the wonderful woodland nearby and the castle grounds.

The glamping pod made the best use of available space, having everything we needed in a small space. The location was great after arriving from the ferry. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was great

I cannot say enough positive things about this flat. I am almost afraid to say too much because I don't want it to be booked when I decide to stay again! My friend and I stayed here for three nights, and it was the PERFECT set-up for us. It was immaculately clean, we each had our own spacious room with comfortable beds, the living room was set up perfectly to relax after a day of sightseeing, and the kitchen was wonderful. It is obvious that Kirsteen went out of her way to make sure everything was in order. I loved the little details that most hosts probably wouldn't consider...the light on the entrance stairs that can be turned on/off and both the top and bottom of the stairs, the milk in the refrigerator, the extra Wi-Fi hotspot, washer/dryer, all of the cooking utensils you could ever need... Also, the location is perfect. It's just far enough away that you miss the business of being in town but close enough to walk to the city centre, and Lews Castle is basically across the street! I highly, highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely stay here again in the future.

My host, Rosemary, was exceptionally thoughtful and gracious. When I arrived, I discovered a welcome platter of fruits, cheeses, charcuterie, and freshly baked bread. She checked-in with me periodically during my stay to see if I needed anything. The property was an immaculate one-bedroom house on the seashore. The arched ceilings and windows from floor to ceiling illuminated the white interior beautifully. It was a very bright and cheery place to spend several days. Rosemary has a no shoes in the house policy—same as I do back home—which kept the white floors sparkling clean. I cooked most days and the kitchen was outfitted with all the necessary appliances, cutlery, cookware, and serving dishes. The location was a 5-minute drive from Stornoway center and it was a beautiful 20-30 minute walk along the shore into town.
