Hosts are the best! They are really helpful. They helped us to book trips to Tikal and Belize city and also booked boats (even in odd times) to Flores. They are really nice. Property is 5 mins boat ride across Flores town. It’s in a nice garden and has amazing views of the lake.

After 3 weeks in Guatemala that was definitely the best place to spend our last night. After Party hostels, highways, Tuktuks, gangs of dogs giving concerts and diesel engines running next to us we were spoiled with as silent night a very good dinner - even though we probably were annoying guests with extra requests for salads and fruits and cake and hot chocolate 🙏🙏🙏 we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the welcoming stuff and the helpful advices of our host. Apart from that pick up and retour from and to Flores, the beach around the corner was nice and the endless tracks through the jungle at fantastic - I went for a 26km run all over those pathes in the shade and you mind find some Maya temples - not unearthed yet but they are sticking out of the flat surroundings. Anyways great place go for it 👍

Beautiful hotel with great meals. Breakfast is very good and we had 2 delicious dinners as well. The staff is very nice and we had a great bird watching walk with Oscar. We can definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back.

The hotel nestled among trees over looking the lagoon. Our room was at the end and was so beautifully built. Everything including the floor was in wood and looks like a mahogany. Inside is a spacious room with double bed, an area to work if you want to, who does? But it haa an indoor jacuzzi overlooking a gorgeous view of the lagoon. All open with glass windows and doors. An absolute gem.

We loved the nature escape to Villa Maya; after a couple of days of being in Panajachel. Mostly soaking up nature, bird life, and howling monkeys. Perfect place to relax! We went on the excursion to Tikal, arranged with the hotel, which was perfectly organized. Highly qualified guide, the most comfortable car we had in Guatemala, beautiful lunch with fresh towels to clean up after the jungle walking, and most of all, the best walk through the Tikal ruins! The guide will take you on secret trails and tell you about birdlife, animal life, + the history of Tikal. Amazing experience! Our highlight in Guatemala. Celebrate with the highly recommended Parilla / barbeque on the restaurant menu! Villa Maya is great value for money and is a very comfortable stay in Guatemala. Also the Best breakfast!

    We had an enjoyable stay here and stayed extra nights. It was very very hot and we were grateful for the AC! There was even hot water in the shower which is not always the case in these zones. Parking worked well and was secure and breakfast and evening meal worked well for us. We arranged a tour from the hotel to Tikal and that too worked well . There is a pool which we didn't use but others enjoyed.
