Very relaxing place to be. Great for a holiday where you want to disconnect from everything. The pool was great. Staff were super helpful. I had a very relaxing massage. The rooms looked exactly like in the ad. I really liked the outdoor bathroom vibe.

The hotel location is perfect to visit sekumpul waterfall early, most people come around 10:00-11:00 with crowds. Staying in this motel can avoid the crowds. Also no need to hire local guide, the road is not difficult even for elders are fine. To be clarify, there’s no local mafias nearby this small entrance for asking overpriced entrance tickets, we paid 30k per person with ticket receipts, so no worries about this short cut entrance. The local people here are most polite and say hello to us! Do not overthink too much by those social media review. The manager and staff of the hotel are super nice people, they provided laundry service, pickup, scooter rental service when we needed. They can clean the room daily and provide breakfast as your request as long as you communicate well one day in advance.The view of doing the bath is very nice, room is big and has sofa to relax. Eating I suggest you use app GRAB for food and daily necessities delivery if you prefer western meals. Strongly recommend order from “FYE COFFEE”by delivery, they provide amazing meals and super good prices!! If you need a romantic spa at the hill of north, we strongly recommend you try to search and book “Soendaram Spa & Wellness” advance with your partner, its amazing experience of doing professional massage and romantic bath! It was our unforgettable memories! We went to the top altitude of 1415meters hill of north by a 150cc scooter to enjoy the north landscape and visited an animal zoo “Bali Farm House”, recommend you as well if you stay longer.

Our stay at Maha Hills Resort was truly exceptional. What stood out most was the warmth and professionalism of the staff — always kind, attentive, and ready to help with anything. From arranging a reliable scooter rental and a private guide to handling every small request with care, they made everything easy. We even received a complimentary room upgrade, and every interaction felt personal and sincere. Communication was effortless thanks to their excellent English. The villa suite had breathtaking views, and the open-air yoga space above the hills was peaceful and unique. The restaurant deserves special praise — delicious food and one of the most stunning views in the region. Even if you’re just nearby, it’s worth visiting. Where to start. From the moment you arrive, Leia, the owner, is such an amazing host. She tells you all the right places to eat, sites to see, how to get around, and even knows the weather better than the weather radar! She will also make bookings for you, ensuring a seamless experience for your stay from a local. Another thing that blows you away on first impression is the view that you get from every inch of the property. Wow! Lush green rainforest draping the hillside below you out to the quaint little town of Lovina below and out to the spectacular calm blue ocean. We also loved the super cute and friendly cats and dogs on the property, all with their own unique little personalities, coming to greet us every time we came back through the gate. The communal eating area was fantastic, a nice long outdoor table with a cool breeze and a million-dollar view. The food cooked up by in-house chef Lilu was fantastic. Pro tip: try the Beef Rendang, a very generous portion that still left me yearning for more as it was so tasty. The room was huge and clean with everything one wants. Such a comfortable bed that I had to pull myself away from it to actually do things like swim in the pool or head down the hill to town at Lovina (a short 10 to 15 minute trip on our scooters). The bathroom was amazing too, with a nice big shower and glorious hot water. The pool is very well designed as an infinity pool to take in the view, and there are several sitting ledges and standing platforms to take in the view. We were lucky enough that Steve was also at the villa as well, and he explained the Singaporean influence of the building design, which became apparent and very well done once he mentioned it. Leia has taken great pride in her gardens, which shows and makes for a truly tranquil atmosphere when relaxing around the villa by day or night. I could not recommend a stay at Villa Mata Hari more; this is the only place I will stay from now on when visiting the north of Bali.

We stayed in a cozy bamboo cabin which was clean and comfortable. There is a beautiful view of the rice fields from the porch, and the shower water pressure was the best we've had so far. The best part is the staff, they are so nice and accommodating. Great value!

Beautiful and lush surroundings. I walked out of my room to a private and relaxing lounging area with cushioned seating. If I walked across the grassy lawn a few steps I’d reach the loungers under the blooming frangipani trees poolside. The breakfast area was in the garden as well. The morning meal of coffee, fruit, toast and eggs to order didn’t disappoint. There were staff members available for your every need 24/7.

I loveeee everything about Shanti! It’s my second stay and always end up feeling satisfied and happy! The view, foods, staffs, rooms are all perfect! Gotta say the staffs are super friendly and caring. The food choices are limited but the taste doesnt disappoint at all. Flavorful and delicious. The view is breathtaking and i loved every minute of my stay there! Will definitely come back to Shanti! Til next time!❤️
