🌟 Amazing Experience at River Roots, Monroe Tourist Stay 🌟 My stay at River Roots was truly memorable! The location is absolutely beautiful — right in front of a peaceful river, surrounded by nature. It gives a true homely feel, perfect for both friends and family. The property is neat, cozy, and well-kept, and the owner, Mr. Karun, personally made sure everything was perfect. The food was excellent, with tasty breakfast, lunch, and dinner available. They even offer morning boat rides, which let us explore the surrounding natural beauty. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, nature, and comfort in one place. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Staying at vrindavan was an actual dream. The rooms were lovely, good ac, comfy beds, modern toilets, yoga space and outdoor communal area in the garden. But all these things were extra in compassion to the hosts. Anand and his family are such lovely people, everything was so easily organized for us and nothing was too much trouble. The boating (highly recommend the sunrise canoe) was so cool, and we could go right from the property through the canals to the lake. The food was actually out of this world, getting such an authentic array of dishes through out our stay. We stayed over the Christmas period and Anand organized a Christmas party, decorated the place and got Christmas cake for everyone. This stay is one of our highlights from our whole trip in India. If we come back to kerala we will definitely be coming again.

She helped us arrange activities like kayaking and canoeing, she and her family Made a range of delicious curries for us and she is also a really lovely and interesting person to talk to. Akhil was an incredibly helpful and warm host who made everything easy and comfortable. Kala’s food was absolutely delicious – every meal felt like home. We also loved the wonderful time spent with Roshni and little Aayansh, which made our experience even more special. The canoeing and kayaking around Munroe Island were unforgettable—serene backwaters and stunning scenery. Highly recommended for a genuine island experience! A lovely family with whom to stay in a relatively new concrete bungalow across the street from the river, where the backwater canoe trip picks you up. Good sized room and bath with excellent hot water. A nice porch on which to eat excellent home-cooked meals for breakfast and dinner (dinner costs extra).

Lovely host that really went out of his way to make me feel welcome and comfortable, including inviting me and the other guests to participate in a large family celebration for his wife’s pregnancy. Congratulations again!! The room was very clean and the food for breakfast was simple but filling. The sunrise boat ride was gorgeous, highlight of my trip.

This is a true homestay in my eyes and I learned one of the originals on the island. Maintained and managed by the family with such care and attention to detail. The room is spacious and bed is super comfortable, bathrooms have showers with hot water and everything you need is tended to by Appu. He provides amazing suggestions for more to do in Kerala, is a great tour guide (ask him about the choir factory!) and even helped me secure rides to and from their place. His mother also makes delicious meals and breakfast is included in the price, which is such a great deal! I felt very at peace with the nature and beauty of the place. They also offer canoe and kayaking, both are unique in their own way and worth it! And the lake is literally steps away from the place. Truly a gem!

    Suresh was a great host. Called to check on us while we were on our way. The stay is a part of their village home. A one room standalone inside their property. Good car parking. Suresh and his wife warmly interacted and showed us inside their own home as well. Included us in the local temple festival rituals. Helped us book a boat for the backwater tour which literally started from the house itself! We could walk around the village from this location .

    I had a great time at Mundro Garden Homestay. The caretaker, Deepa Chechi, was extremely friendly. I stayed here with my family. We used two rooms, and both of them were clean and well-kept. The dinner and breakfast provided were homemade and tasty. Especially the karimeen fry was super tasty. Stay provides sufficient parking space for a car. Deepa Chechi also helped us arrange the canoeing ride. My family and I are very satisfied after staying here and recommend others to try staying here.
