tokuyama isn't a touristy town so we were expecting simple accomodations. this hotel is just a few minutes walk from the train station and nearby some really good small places to eat dinner! the hotel itself had a retro feel to it, it could probably do with some updating but it was very clean and comfortable. the onsen was included and so was a japanese breakfast buffett! i don't think there's much open nearby for breakfast so this was a terrific deal. the breakfast was homey and delicious, lots of options included. train station was quite modern, it also had a starbucks and a bookstore open til late at nite. would definitely stay here again.
