Great surprise after 5 minutes car driving inside the montain is a very peaceful area. Very nice room, spacious, confortable with a lot of facilities. I arrived by night and was completely amazed by the view.

The place was lovely! Right on the shore, overlooking the water. It had everything we'd ever need - comfy beds, spacious living area, well-equipped kitchen. And stuff we didn't even expect - a sauna, a plunge pool and a bunch of beauty and styling products. Our stay was very chill and quiet, and I'm very happy we chose to stay at Sakura Yakushima!

It is like a home, with pretty much everything provided for you. The kitchen is particularly well-equipped. There is a kotatsu as well as a heater. There is a washer and dryer for a small fee. The TV has lots of channels and there are DVDs also, for those days when you’re stuck inside because of rain. I stayed there alone, but it could comfortably sleep 4 to 6 people. There is an A Coop grocery store about ten minutes away on foot, and they have a large selection. A steal for the price.

The couple that hosts the pension is sweet and the property is peaceful. Super near the airport. Japanese breakfast was beautifully done. Will stay again.

Great location and extremely welcoming host.

We had a whole cottage (with a toilet) for ourselves. The shower/bathtub was in a separate building a short walk away, but still for our use only. It's quiet and beautiful.

The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

Muy limpia, tuve la fortuna de tener el lugar para mi y mi pareja sola por toda la estadía y aún así venían a limpiar todo el lugar todos los días, me hospedé en el primer piso y son 3 habitaciones con 2 baños y duchas así que si hay más personas aún sigue siendo muy agradable. Solo hay un bus público en la ciudad y una de las paradas de bus es muy cerca del hospedaje.

Our host was very kind and thoughtful, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything that we needed. Our room was spatious and had plenty room to hang our clothes after doing the laundry. The location was convenient with the bus stop right across the street and delicious meals in the neighborhood.

The property is well situated near the ferry port, in front of a supermarket and near some beautiful hikes. It was very cute and clean and I had a very good night sleep on the comfortable floor mattress.

The staff is simply amazing, nice room with everything one might need, great breakfast, beautiful views, dinner was an exquisite experience.

Great place! And really good food

Everything was terrific. We had a cottage with a kitchen and twin beds. It was exceptionally comfortable and quiet. We slept great every night. Mr. Nakashima is super kind and gracious. We'd go back in a heartbeat. He recommended a fabulous restaurant two bus stops from the cottage. Do make reservations as they fill up p[retty quickly. Best fish you'll ever have and Yakushima beef sashimi!! The cottage was truly like a home away from home and felt totally private. It was a terrific added bonus to be able to do a couple loads of laundry.

Good stay - we booked a 3-person room plus a single bed. Room is big enough for all 4 of us. Hotel has a bath (not onsen) but it was OK. Food is good but if you can pay a little more there are better restaurants in other parts of the island.

This guest house locates to the Miyanoura port in 15 minutes waking distance. On the way you’ll find a supermarket where you can find anything you’ll need during the trip. To the nearest bus stop it’s about 13 minutes walking. So I like the location very much. The room is clean, however, Yakushima is an island full of lifes, so sometimes insects still sneak in. Hosts are friendly and kind and nice even though English might be a bit difficult for them. Try to use translator then! They have a Ramen (noodle) shop for lunch. Many local people come. It deserves a try.

Bus stop outside the place (albeit infrequent), only 25 odd min walk from the port. Lovely location, bus access was fantastic. Hosts were great
