Steak was very good and not expensive, allowing us to bring our own wine upon payment of minimal corkage…bravo! The hotel is very secured with a big main door that requires guests’ keycards to open it and an elevator that automatically sets guests to their respective floors. Rooms have separate toilet and bath, well-provided with amenities/toiletries and it is possible to open the window to let Kumamoto’s cool winter breeze (brrrrr🥶) in. There are english-speaking channels available and coffee at the lounge is free-flowing.

A lot of warm dishes, a lot of choice and also finest French patisserie. Fantastic onsen in the hotel. Fantastic nature and forest around the hotel. Very quiet at night. We used the bus coach to reach the city from the hotel, we also walked during the day through the pedestrian walk in the marvellous forest. To reach the entrance of the walk from the hotel, just follow the indication "Promenade" from the hotel: it is super easy: get out of the main entrance of the hotel, walk to the left, walk 100mt up to the kiosks selling tourist stuff, here follow indication "Promenade", it is other 70mt , and then take the path going down, it is not a road, it is very easy and very wide trail.

Open from September 2019, only 150 metres from JR Hakata Train Station, Miyako Hotel Hakata offers stylish rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The famous Nanzoin Temple is a 30-minute train ride away. The location is fantastic. We stayed only one night and it was a luxurious experience. The public baths on the rooftop were quiet and clean, with a small sauna room. The staff was very kind and helpful and let us leave the luggage after the check-out time to allow us to go around the city a bit.
