I had a really great time in this place, thanks to Konbu, Michi and Egosan who are amazing hosts. I was looking for a place to stay for a few days to do nothing but rest and this place was perfect. I really felt at home, the living room was my lair. There is a grocery store 15 minutes by walk but to be fair I didnt go there since you can ask Egosan to cook for you (1000 ¥/meal). And let me tell you that he is a great cook. On the first evening he asked me what is my favorite Japanese dish and he made it the following day ! Since I was the only customer during my stay we spend time together, they even bring me with them to go to a good local restaurant and then they surprised me by going to a bakery since I said I wanted to try Japanese dessert. Once again, I had a really great time !

Good value for money. Room was clean and there was coffee Foc throughout the day. Surprised that an inn would provide a much appreciated night wear. Another surprise was the complimentary breakfast which was more than sufficient - juice, hot pot rice and croissant with scramble eggs and bacon. The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped. What was most impressive, however, was how responsive the host was. The host responded almost immediately to every email inquiry I had about the property. I would highly recommend this house to people who are visiting historic and lovely Omihachiman.
