We booked this place to visit Amsterdam. The 200-year-old hotel is in the middle of the fields, but you're just 20 minutes away by car from P+R Amsterdam Noord, where metro takes you to the centre. First and most important: the owner and her staff are exceptional! The welcome was very warm, and everything was being done to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast is among the best I've ever had: a table covered just for the two of us and at the time requested, with freshly baked oven rolls, fresh juice, coffee, cheese and ham, an egg, cereals... Rooms are charming and you wake up to the sound of birds outside. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we are certainly coming back!

The location of the property was excellent, you are right by the beach front and the town. The B&B was very clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi was amazing on a cold night. The host was very nice. Great stay.

The location is close both to Amsterdam and Purmerend. The studio is really private, and a very good size. The kitchenette is very useful if you want to make a quick breakfast in the morning.The host is very nice and welcoming.We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at this charming house located in a peaceful neighborhood just outside Amsterdam. It’s close to some great tourist attractions like Zaanse Schans and Volendam, and the surrounding views are absolutely stunning. The area is super quiet—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house itself is very bright and airy, especially during the long summer days. However, keep in mind that there are no blackout curtains or shutters, which can make sleeping a bit challenging after sunrise. Also, while the listing says it’s a two-bedroom apartment, it’s actually a one-bedroom house with a bed on an open mezzanine level. The layout is more like a converted stable, full of character but not ideal if you’re expecting two fully private bedrooms. That said, the host was incredibly responsive and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return—just be aware of the unique setup!

    This is a beautiful old hotel/restaurant in the countryside away from the noise of Amsterdam yet still close enough for day trips. The rooms were comfortable, the food outstanding and the staff just gorgeous. On day trips to Amsterdam, we took the P+R from Amsterdam Noord where it was only 1 euro for parking and only 3 metro stops to the centre of Amsterdam.
