Beautiful place at a very close yet quiet location near the Geirangerfjord. We stayed in one of the cabins, and even though a lot of camper vans arrived to the site, we still had our privacy and calm moments.

They had a restaurant on premises which was delightful. We ordered food late afternoon and ate outside because of the heat. The food was delicious. The breakfast in the morning was in dining room which was large and there was plenty to choose from. Good breakfast. The staff were kind and helpful. I got the feeling it is a family run place. I would stay again.

“If I could rate it 11 out of 10, I would.” This hotel is truly one of a kind. Everything—from the design to the smallest details—feels thoughtfully created and completely unique. The craftsmanship in the rooms, the locally made furniture, the atmosphere… it’s unlike anything I’ve seen, not just in the area, but anywhere in Europe and UAE. The quality is outstanding. Every corner of the place feels special, and it’s clear that a lot of heart went into building and running it. You can’t compare this to a standard hotel stay—this is an experience. If you choose the Viking experience for dinner, prepare to be surprised. The feeling, the food, the entire setting—it’s something else. The fish dish in particular was incredibly fresh and simply prepared in the best way possible. It lets the flavor speak for itself. The Viking house is truly one of a kind. How can anything compare to that? Olef clearly loves his place and his history. He doesn’t just run the hotel—he lives it. He is a genuine Viking, and it shows in every part of what he’s created here.

Very clean, spacious and cozy, and windows in the bedroom with thick light blocker curtains ❤️ It has almost everything we needed in the kitchen. We had dinner once and it was sumptous! Breakfast was also very good. Location is great, accessible and not too far to all our destination... Trollstigen, Troll Wall, Geiranger, Alensund. Also great that they do not have normal TV channels but a chromecast instead! more useful for foreign guests like us. 😉
