We just love it 💖!
The house was perfect for us!
We are a family of 5 so ea one of the kids got their own room .
The kitchen was perfect in the supermarket is 200 meters away so we were able to make dinner and even do some laundry!
It has a very nice view and it's next to a playground for the kids and come with its own trampoline.

Location was perfect! Only 10 minutes from Virga airport and 12 mins into the city. A perfect spot for families and the hosts went above and beyond. Provided food in the fridge because they knew we were getting in late. So thoughtful!

It’s an old building but the apartment inside is modern and top renovated. Parking lot is in a stone field behind the house. Staff was really friendly at the phone. The Big TV with Netflix has a strong concurrent with this view. The radiator is drying the air a bit too much.

The position is great if you want to stay close to the airport and walk around. You can catch a bus to/from the airport and to/from main town, you can also walk up to the hill, to the ferry and on the bridge. In the right season, you can also hire a bike. The room has everything that you might need, considering that you are planning to pass your day out. The supermarket and the restaurant are very handy as well.

Nice location for all sorts of excursions; viewing the close city, going for hikes in the area, visiting the famous Geiranger - which one can do with a 4 h boat trip each way. We found Alesund more interesting than eg. Bergen (which has loads of tourists).

A two night stay gave us one complete day in Alesund. Well worth walking up the 418 steps to the viewpoint. I would recommend Racoon bakery, delicious cinnamon bun and hot chocolate. Unfortunately the glass studio was temporarily closed.

Beware of the fine print when booking your room for the low...
Beware of the fine print when booking your room for the low discount price at Alesund Airport Hotel. Instead of a room in the actual hotel building, our room was in a little structure across the parking lot called the Mini Hotel. Our room was tiny and cramped with no place to put our luggage except the beds or the floor. I was unable to upgrade to a regular room so not happy with the checkin staff. One last thing, the Hotel is actually 10 minutes or several Kilometers from the airport.

Ålesund, per se, is not a major attraction.
Ålesund, per se, is not a major attraction. However, this nice city is an excellent starting point to explore the surroundings spectacular fjords, drive the Atlantic road, and eventually go to other regions. That was what we did and it went extremely well.
Weather seems to be colder and wetter here than upper north and on the south of the country, therefore the travelling period should be carefully chosen.
