We didn't know what to expect at Arthur's Pass Lodge. However, our stay here turned out to be a highlight of our trip to the South Island. Helen is a wealth of information, a great host, excellent cook and baker and just a pleasure to be around. The views from her place are excellent, and the ambiance there was truly remarkable. I would go back through Arthur's Pass just to stay here again.

Amazing couple. Plain and simply stated “just great genuine people “. So welcoming and gave us great suggestions on what to do in the area. Older place but very clean and beautifully restored. They had our electric blankets turned on and toasty warm for our sleep!

Sweet location near Arthur Pass hikes. Throughly enjoyed the solitude, wooden stove and hanging out on and outside the cabin.

Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is located in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside.
