Wilson and Lisbeth, ànd their adorable children, go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The transfer was perfect, the room huge, the views breathtaking, the blankets warm, the food plentiful and tasty! They have only 1 guestroom and are located on their own island, a bit further away from the rather touristy part of the lake, which is great. Thank you so much, we enjoyed it a lot!

It was my dream to live on the floating islands of Lake Titicaca. Walter and his family's lodge is one of the best places to live comfortably and observe the real life of the Uros people. I was worried that it would be cold. but the living conditions pleasantly surprised me - hot water, a large bed with duvets, huge windows through which the sun heats the room during the day and gas heaters for the evening. Walter's mother cooked delicious, fresh and healthy food for us. Walter took us on a boat ride every day and helped organize all the excursions. To work online, we needed the Internet, and in this part of the lake the mobile signal is strong enough to work. Because on the islands that are farther from the coast, the Internet connection is weak. Great experience!

My friend and I stayed at this lodge for two nights. Only one word to explain the experience: incredible (increíble!). Eddy, our host, arranged everything for us: a taxi picked us up in the centre and dropped us at the port, then Eddy took us to the floating island aboard his little boat. Once there, his mother was standing at the little embarcadero to welcome us despite the late hour; at that point we realized that our stay would shortly turn into an amazing adventure. If you look for genuine relationships and real Uros’ cuisine, made with self-made ingredients plus some of them obtained from the mainland via “barter” (exchange of goods), then this is for you. The 2-hour private tour was lovely and informative about the Uros’ culture and it cost just a little extra. We also rented the kayak for a little workout and tour around the islands, which was kindly offered to us. This is your choice if you wish to spend a few days of relax and adventure on the Titicaca lake.

We loved this opportunity to experience the peace of Lake Titicaca in a gorgeous location. The host, Cesar, was kind and helpful. We really appreciated the personal tour of his community - meeting family, picking his little boy up from school. The food was also delicious. This was a highlight of our trip to Peru.

Do not let the lack of reviews for this booking to keep you from staying here like it almost did me and several others. Wilson, Nelly, and their baby girl are a pleasure to stay with. We had a fantastic three nights with them where we got to know each other, Wilson took us out on his boat to see the floating islands to places like where he went to school, the church, and an island where his friends make the boats. Nelly showed us how to chrochet and we bought some beautiful things for our house, and we went fishing with Wilson one morning and got to try to drive the traditional boats. The best thing was that all of this was included along with a beautful breakfast. There is also the ability to do other activities and to add on lunch or dinner for an additional cost. In terms of getting on and off the islands, Wilson is readily available and he has a car to make the trip as well if you would like to have him take you closer in the city. The arrangements in the smaller house were phenomenal, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. There is electric with lights to charge phones, and whatever else you might want to charge. Thank you so much Wilson and Nelly!

I have traveled all over the world and visited many places. I have to say that Utjawi is among the most enjoyable places I have ever stayed. My son and I slept in a very comfortable room on the same floating island with our hosts. The room had 4 big windows facing each point of the compass and each with lovely views either over the lake or over a watery field of tortora. We came in July and the weather was wonderful. Sunshine streaming through at least one of the windows all day. This part of Peru can be very cold but with the gas heater and half a dozen furry blankets on our bed we were always comfortable. The room had a roof terrace which if you wrapped up warmly was fantastic for viewing the lake in the day and the stars at night. Food was good and abundant. Eggs and bread with fruit salad in the morning soup, chicken or trout in the evening. The hosts are a young married couple and seemed to delight in helping us with information and activities.I’ve never written so much before but as I sit writing in the Titicaca Sun I’m full of gratitude to the place and the people who run it.

    Quiet 4-star hotel overlooking Lake Titicaca. Decent rooms, good modern bathroom. A little far from the water, but the views are still good. Excellent restaurant and generous buffet breakfast. Plenty of parking, although it's a bit of a hike uphill back to reception, so unload first.

    The location is perfect for views of the lake on one side and Puno township on the other. The staff were very helpful. Breakfasts were very good with a lot of variety and with fresh food items. Very much a relaxed feel is created which matches the great views from the common areas. We had a car and on site secure parking was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and had dinner either in the restauarant or bar and the prices were resonable.
