Located within easy walking distance of the main square, we were able to explore all the major sights, restaurants, and cafes without needing a car. Our host, Eva, was incredibly attentive and responsive—offering helpful tips about Levoca and nearby attractions like Spis Castle and Slovak Paradise National Park. Her local insights truly enhanced our experience. Levoca itself is a gem—steeped in history and full of charm. The main square is lovely, and the standout attraction is the stunning St. James Church, home to unique wooden altar carvings and a popular stop for pilgrims on the Slovak portion of the Way of St. James. The town also served as a perfect base for exploring the region, including the dramatic gorges of Slovak Paradise (ideal for hiking, canyoneering, and biking) and the majestic High Tatras mountains, just a short drive away via Poprad. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and culture of eastern Slovakia with the comfort of a thoughtfully maintained and welcoming home base.
