The bed was extremely comfortable, slept great. The Nespresso machine was a terrific find, as was the choice of 3 types of pods. Would have been nice to have a cheat sheet to know the difference between the 3 types for those who don't regularly use Nespresso machines. The place was extremely quiet, which a was a terrific plus.

Just 40 minutes' drive from Washington Dulles Airport, Salamander Resort and Spa is set in Middleburg, 17 mi from Chantilly and 27 mi from Winchester.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and holiday decorations, as well as the curated holiday menu offered at Harriman's Grill with my family. I am a returning guest and routinely use the exceptional spa services. I will treat my parents to a stay at Salamander Middleburg in February for their 57th wedding anniversary.

We stayed in the Monet Suite, which is as well-appointed as it is inviting. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing, rejuvenating getaway. And while the accommodations were exquisite, one of my wife’s favorite moments had nothing to do with fine linens or gourmet breakfasts—it was meeting Tim McGraw, the charming donkey in the neighboring field who eagerly accepted her head scratches. We may have come for the luxury, but we left with a new four-legged friend. We’re already looking forward to our next stay at Villa Maud. It’s a rare place that blends elegance with genuine warmth so effortlessly, and we can’t wait to return.

The breakfast was amazing. Their bacon was the best I’ve ever tasted! The yogurt parfait was top-notch, and I’m not usually a crunchy-granola kind of girl. Incredibly comfortable sheets and bedding, although at 5’5”, I felt like I could have used a little staircase to get into the bed, lol!

We were greeted by two front office workers all smiles and they let our children pick a toy as a welcome gift. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delish.
