The house is spacious and we each had our own bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped. It felt like being in a tropical place with the beautiful plants around the house and sounds of rain and frogs at night. We felt like home in this house!

The location is absolutely perfect! A beautiful view of the ocean from the outside balcony and inside living and kitchen area. The place is spacious and there is free parking if you rent a car. The kitchen is large and has everything needed to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including a regular size refrigerator. There is a table in the rear yard under an awning where you can enjoy the beautiful weather and foliage. It is also close to downtown Hilo where there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and explore.

We can highly recommend the Orchid Tree B&B. It has a great location, close to the city center and the airport. The rooms are tastefully decorated and cozy. The exceptionally friendly landlord is always available to provide helpful tips on dining and sightseeing. The garden is a well-maintained tropical paradise, and breakfast on the terrace is simply heavenly. Everything is wonderful and invites you to stay longer. Definitely worth a visit! All! Even though it's a simple, local and antique hotel, our stay was great! Staring by Lee at front desk that was so kind and amazing to us. If you're expecting for a super fancy and impersonal hotel, this is not for you. The stay was great because it was simple, connected to the nature and cultural. You sleep and wake up with the sound of the animals outside and it was so beautiful. Breakfast is very nice and the area you get to eat is rich of details and, of course, more nature. Price was great for the offerings. If you are a nature and local culture appreciator, that place is for you.

We had left in the early morning. I loved the fact that we had our own space and especially our own bathroom and shower. The only downside is the fact that its on a busy street and that were a lot of loud noise from the street below. Other than that, it was comfortable & Curt was very polite and an excellent host.
