This is my review of J Resort Reno: 1. Check-in was very smooth. I was happy that they upgraded me to a Suite Room. My original room was a standard king room (probably located at Birch Tower) and they assigned me a Suite Room at Cedar Tower. I was very happy with all my interactions with reception staff. They were helpful and friendly. 2. I have encountered none of the nuicences cited by others: no construction noise (I think this is true overall, there were no substantial construction activity during my stay). No food odor (this may be due to my room being at Cedar Tower) in the hallways and in fact the odor was quite mellow at the buffet. No suspicious characters hanging out the hotel. The hotel surrounding and the parking lot seemed very safe to me. The wifi worked very well. Much better than some other hotels I stayed. 3. Surprisingly, Reno downtown was very safe compared to downtown areas of some other US cities. You see some homeless looking persons here and there, but very few and not threatening at all. You could walk from the hotel to other areas in the downtown without any problems (at least that was the case when I was there). 4. I found Hanna's Table to be quite reasonable, both price-wise and food-wise. I've had two breakfasts and three lunches there and I've tried a variaty of options. I never felt I am payimg more than any other average diner in town. 5. OK. This is common point raised bu other reviewers: there is no daily cleaning. I can confirm that this is indeed the case. Contrary to other reviews this did not bother me. I was travelling alone. If I was with family and kids than I am sure that I would have preferred daily cleaning. In my case, I emptied trash to a trash bag and dumped myself and I asked for extra towels, water and coffee at the reception, which were delivered quickly. In conclusion, J Resort Reno is a very good choice when staying at Reno. Newly renovated and much reasonably priced than other competitive hotels.

They have really improved this place. It was super clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Odessa at the front desk makes this place! The whole staff works well together to solve any problems or issues you may have right away. They also have a great security system and keep a watchful eye on the property so never once have we had issues with ourvehicles or trailers here and they keep any riff raff out. They make it a very pleasant and personal stay and you can't beat the price. I wouldn't stay at any other motel 6 in reno. Well worth the stay.

Clean Friendly Great location

In one huge hotel buildings halves are shared under the Travelodge and the Howard Johnson names. I was pleasantly surprised by its location on Virginia Street at the end of the casino strip

The beds are so comfy we loved it

Check in was very easy even if they were having computer issues. Because they had a clean room they allowed us to check in early, otherwise we would have had to check in after 10:30 pm .

Breakfast was amazing , even with the place being under construction it was still a wonderful stay. Will book again.

We loved all the little touches, the recycled water bottles, the robes, the slippers, real houseplants, and quality bath products. The restaurant downstairs had amazing fish tacos and individual pies. Great staff, I will definitely stay here again, it's a hidden gem!

Close to venue, and convenient to get around

The hotel was extremely wonderful and the staff there were amazing from checking in to checking out and the restaurants and bar were very good. We would definitely go back there and we will recommend it to family and friends.
