The owners Arno & Angie have done a great job with the place and it's very "homey" and welcoming with friendly staff and cute cats & dogs. We had a fun night out at a local bar with Arno and some other guests and we also spent a day out exploring the sights of which Arno gave us some great recommendations!

Properties’s location is excellent, the homestay is clean and comfy and we had the pleasure to be guided around Toraja’s area by Meyske. A good location for a relaxing holiday in Rantepao, Mama Tia Family Homestay is a homestay surrounded by views of the mountain. The property features a garden, shared lounge and parking on-site among other facilities. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The homestay features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Mama Tia is the excellent homestay and suitable for whom want to connect with locals and nature. It's a bit far from downtown but it's not a problem. The owner is an acknowlegable local guide who can suggest and manage to explore Toraja and help you to book your next trip.

Free private parking is available and the inn also features car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. The food was something special. So excellent cooking. Very homey feel. Comfortable and relaxed.

Novita Homestay is a 3-star property situated in Bunaken, facing the sea. The property has sea and mountain views. The accommodation features free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. The best homestay ever. Planned for three nights stayed for two weeks. Sweet home with my caring Novita mama and funny Butul papa and Oma and Opa. Comfortable and clean room with stable electricity (luxury), best cooking in Bunaken(Novita would prepare fish for guests like me but Tofu for vegans and nuggets for children and change menu almost everyday. You can also easily book dive/ snorkeling or trips from here with reasonable price. Definitely come back again!

Built in traditional Torajan style, Rura Raya Homestay is situated in Rantepao.

The rooms here offers modern comforts and while maintaining the traditional decor. It is fitted with hardwood flooring, TV and dining table. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from the balcony or the garden view from the terrace. The private bathroom comes with a shower and towels. This is a GREAT homestay. The rooms were nice and spacious. Everything was clean. The staff was so helpful and kind, they even went with my mother to the town and helped her buy a new and cheap phone after other one broke down. The food was AMAZING, so tasty! There was also a guide that greeted us when we came, his name Yusuf, he planned a glorious 2 day tour around the area and we even got to witness a Torajan funeral ritual. The hotel also helped to arrange transportation to Rantepao from Tentena and then from Rantepao to Sengkang, the drivers name was Indi and he is a really good driver and takes good care of his passengers in the bumpy and hectic roads of Sulawesi

Julian is very friendly host, moreover excellent bird guide and kingfisher king and I enjoyed all our walks for animals in the park. His wife Treisha is a lovely person and outstanding cook smiling all the time. We recommend. See you next time, our friends!
