The staff was very welcoming, the place is so cute and genuine. So many nice details, books, things.... it is so carefully set. We even enjoyed the Japanese style breakfast, what a full experience. Thank you for the welcoming atmosphere and the genuine and friendly feeling.

The staffs were very friendly and knowledgeable with the sights to visit on Naoshima Island. Located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata offers Japanese-style accommodations in a historical building from the Edo period. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas and guests can relax in the public baths. JR Kurashiki Train Station is a 10-minute walk away. This was absolutely fabulous! The highlight of our trip and so off the beaten trail. The ryokan is stunning and right in the historic district on the canal. The 11 course dinner served in our room was delicious and such a special experience of Japanese foods. The breakfast was also delicious and traditional and served in a peaceful breakfast room. We loved the experience of the onsen, having dinner, and then taking a stroll by the canal in our yukatans. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

From the moment I booked this property the communication with the owner was excellent. It was a real point of difference and made us feel cared for and able to ask for any thing we needed. Including booking extra nights and a taxi!
