Wonderful clean and comfortable room. The en-suite shower was great. The breakfast was delicious, cooked to order with lots of choices. The view from the room of the lake and sheep grazing was serene. The location is scenic and quiet with easy distance to archeological sites. We shared a dram with the very accommodating hosts and learned more about whiskey. The hosts provided water, coffee , tea and snacks in the room as well as other drinks available in reception. The hosts accommodated us with an early morning departure to the ferry. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Amazing and interesting place! It used to be a pub, so there's a bar in the living room. Host provided peat charcoal to burn in the little fireplace. Large "commercial" kitchen that used to support the pub, so don't expect a stylish residential kitchen. That said, there are two refrigerators and lots of prep space. Bathroom is very minimal, but my grown daughters LOVED staying here with the neighbor's animals straying into our yard, the dart board in the living room, and the beautiful rustic surroundings outside of the city. Everyone got their own bed, and there was lots of room to spread out for a family of 5. Would highly recommend staying here if you want a taste of local color (**Note: if you're looking for a polished hotel or professional bed and breakfast, this is not the place.**)

Everything about this stay was exceptional! The owner's communication was welcoming and friendly, and he ensured that guests had the best experience possible. The space itself is so close to everything you need in Stromness, plus a short drive to some of the heritage sites. Coorie Vie has been decorated with love and care, and everything you could possibly need had been provided. Plenty of parking is available and I felt very secure. Fresh, clean, and simply a lovely stay. I highly recommend it!
