Beautiful location, room and facilities were basic, but clean. The hosts were friendly and t hey organised all the activities. Options for food was limited, but always good. Tangkahan is a little gem, out of the beaten paths where you feel you have the jungle for yourself. Seeing the elephants in their habitat and walking with them in the jungle was exceptional. The value for the price was great.

An amazing remote spot in the middle of nature, but still on walking distance from town. The lodges are very comfortable and impeccably clean. It’s a shared bathroom, but very well maintained and loved the design.

Our stay here was just wonderful. The chalet ıs located at an end, nestled besıde the raınforest. The monkıes joıned us for breakfast and you can hearthem jumıng on the roof from early mornıng. Our hostess, Tıa, was so hospıtable and frıendly. She had the most gorgeous lıttle kıttens who were so playful. Tıa organısed our guıde to come down and speak to us the nıght before our 1 day trek, so we had lots of ınfo ahead of tıme. ı absolutely recommend stayıng here. You can open the porch double doors and vıew the rıver from the 4 poster bed. There ıs also a hammock on the porch to relax on.

Smooth communication via Whatsapp about the jungle tour and transport from Medan to the accommodation. Nice location, close to restaurants and shops, nice view of the river. Delicious food, but especially the friendly people who work there made this an unforgettable experience for us. The guides during the jungle tour were very skilled, attentive and patient.

The facilities were beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful in answering any questions we had. Food was delicious and healthy. Everyone was very friendly and took time to chat with guests. We also did a 3 day 2 night trek with them that we enjoyed very much. Saw lots of monkeys and orangutans.

The guesthouse is in an amazing location, on the shore of the river. The rooms are cosy and have a nice terrace facing the river. Andy and his bother were very nice and helpful all the time. The banana pancakes for breakfast are delicious.

My friend is very picky with what he sleeps on and he couldn’t stop raving about how comfortable this bed was. The room is clean and well equipped to make your stay comfortable. The bathrooms are huge and very clean - the shower is built into the a rock wall so you feel like you’re outside. You will most likely just sleep there since the best part of being in Bukit Lawang is the people and the nature.
