Randy and his family are great people, their place is amazing, in the middle of nowhere but with all the needed facilities. It has been a great experience to have dinner in their accommodation and we had the opportunity to discover more about their village thanks to Randy’s guided tour. Our stay at this charming riverside cottage was unforgettable. The food and beverages were fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Just a short 5 km ride from the property, there’s a beautiful river where we enjoyed a refreshing bath while feeding the fish — such a rare and peaceful experience. We also had a fantastic BBQ night under the stars, and the surroundings were perfect for bird watching in the early morning. The calm, natural setting truly helped me unwind and release stress. Great host who really puts customer satisfaction on top and goes the extra mile. He picked us up at the bus stop and organized a wonderful safari at yala nationalpark. I can only recommend staying at Great Lake Villa!

The stay has all the basic facilities needed for a good comfortable stay. It's like a mini safari from the window and sitting area outside the house. I saw many peacocks running around and dancing many times a day, also monitor lizards peacefully walking by. Many monkeys and buffaloes chilling in the stream in front. Also some birds like blue kingfisher, brown capped babbler birds, parrots etc. The location of the house is great as it's very near to the juice shop, bakeries, restaurants, wine shop and bus stand. Very nice house and hosts. Highly recommend this place.
