Everything was wonderful. The location was absolutely wonderful close to everything. The staff was great. They were very friendly and made sure you had everything you needed. The rooms were clean. The pool was clean. The grounds were clean. We took our dogs on the trip and they were very welcome there and everywhere on the island. It was great.

St George Inn offers a clean "Old Florida" stay to your quiet Gulf Coast vacation.

The Gibson is so well done in terms of matching the vibe of the town. It's got huge wrap-around porches with rocking chairs and rooms have windows and glass paned doors that open directly out onto the porch, making it easy to have your coffee there in the morning without having to go anywhere. We loved that they let in a lot of natural light, but if you are a light sleeper, you might ask if there are rooms that would be darker in the morning. The rooms themselves have a gorgeous coastal vibe with beadboard, shiplap and cool fixtures, and the bed was super comfy. Our dog friendly room was on the second floor and overlooked the main road, but we were not bothered by any noise. There is no elevator though, so if stairs are an issue, I would ask if there are ground level rooms.

Located in Apalachicola and with Art Bowery Gallery & Studio reachable within a 4-minute walk, Water Street Hotel & Marina, an Ascend Collection Hotel provides an outdoor swimming pool, non-smoking...
