Wonderful, accommodating and friendly hosts! The cabin was clean and stocked with anything we might need. The decor was adorable..We enjoyed exploring the gardens and visiting with Darcy. We've already recommended this place to family and plan to return during our next AK trip!

Everything was great — especially the breakfast and the cleanliness of the suite. The owners were very kind and helpful.

Peaceful, beautiful setting. What we didn't know, is that they have a fairly big (and growing) helicopter service behind the main lodge, to transport people to the nearby glacier. Service can start as early as 8am, so they claim, but we never head anything sooner than 8:30am, and that didn't bother us, as we were up & heading to adventures by then. Cabin was clean & cozy. The service was #1, the lodge food was terrific, and it was quintessential Alaska around us. We also didn't know they had laundry service which is only 1 set of machines, but it served us really well, as we were just over half-way on our trip, and needed to wash some clothes; our plans to do so in Talkeetna would have been seriously disappointing, as we saw nothing quick/convenient, as the machine at the lodge. Pop clothes in; enjoy a drink, dinner; move to dryer; add more clothes. We had to wait once for others, but one load is typically 35mins, so no big deal.

We loved it! The car is parked in front of the room. Nicely made with a sitting area. Very friendly. Even 2 little chocolates at the bedside!

Home away from Home is located in Wasilla, just 21 miles from Hatcher Pass and 30 miles from St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.

This was the perfect rental for my family of 6. We had plenty of room for our kids to play and sleep. They loved having TV’s in their rooms. The house was conveniently located for our needs, and was clean. The kitchen was stocked well with all the basics you’d need for cooking/preparing food. The host was responsive to any texts/questions I had. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Free Wifi is available throughout the property and Hatcher Pass is 20 miles away. The Eagles Nest 3 Mi to Downtown Wasilla!

Central location so great home-base for traveling. The house was easy to find. It was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. Cute porch to have morning coffee. Anyone would be happy with this house.
