Ruma Kaca was a real surprise! We were warmly welcomed by Tiolina (owner) and accompanied to our room and she explained everything. The room and the whole property are very lovingly decorated. The room is located in a former colonial house and has a great view of the lake. It's like staying in a living museum. The food (dinner and breakfast) was also delicious and very good. As there is also a café in Ruma Kaca, the coffee was wonderful. In her free time, Tiolina sat down at her sewing machine and sewed beautiful hair bands. Tiolina took us to Paromanang the next day and we visited the local market with her. Unfortunately, we didn't have any more time as we had to continue travelling.

Perfect if you’re into either deep sleeps or deep bass. Choose wisely when booking—or just bring your dancing shoes and call it balance. Shoutout to caretaker Siska, a sweet, smiley lady who checked us in with warmth and a no-fuss attitude. She also shared great tips on where to eat and what to do, local style. The hammock right in front of the lake is so peaceful. The food from the restaurant is delicious!!! Absolutely great place to come home to after a big day of exploring.
