Places to Stay in Labastida

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. We were genuinely amazed to find such an exceptional boutique hotel in a small town like Briones. This place is a true hidden gem. The design is outstanding. Every detail has been thoughtfully created using beautiful, high-quality materials, and you can truly feel the passion and love that went into restoring this historic building. It is elegant, warm, and full of character. Our room was incredibly spacious, with a beautiful bathroom, an exceptionally comfortable large bed, and every detail carefully considered. The interior design throughout the hotel—from the rooms to the hallways and common areas—is simply beautiful. The wine bar deserves a special mention. The wine list is outstanding and perfectly reflects the region. We also loved the terrace on the second floor, where we spent the evening relaxing with a glass of Rioja while watching the sunset over the rooftops of Briones. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and prepared with outstanding local ingredients. Every bite was delicious. The lady serving breakfast was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The entire staff was exceptional. The gentleman at reception took the time to tell us the fascinating story of the hotel and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone was professional, friendly, and passionate about what they do. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Briones’ beautiful main square and historic church, making it easy to explore one of the most charming villages in Rioja. This is one of those rare hotels where you can truly feel that it was created with love, respect for history, and genuine care for guests. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip through northern Spain, and we would return without hesitation.

This is a nice property outside the historical center of Haro. But, close enough if you want to walk into town, although with a car, this is ideal, as it has excellent complimentary parking. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room is spacious and comfortable.

Haunted like Hotel California. Old school Hotel it’s round and the doors are so old you have to use a key from both sides. No air conditioning but we opened the balcony doors and it cooled right down. Great price. The bar was great. She was going to squeeze fresh orange juice for us.

Beautiful restored villa that is also home to a fantastic restaurant! We found everything to be so comfortable, clean, and relaxing during our stay. We will absolutely be back.

The staff was great, from checking into my room, to breakfast service, everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even let me struggle with my Spanish, and then break into English when I was having difficulty explaining something. The room was modest, but clean and adequate. The twin bed was very comfortable for 1 person. The breakfast was amazing, I had la tortilla de huevos, orange juice, and coffee with milk. All for under 5 euros. Unfortunately I didn't try out the main dining room for dinner, but walking by, it smelled fantastic. I would highly recommend el Hotel Jatorrena to anyone looking for a hotel in Labastida.

Beautiful apartment with everything needed inside, even airco. It was clean and quiet. The location is great - in the middle of the center, just behind the church ( yes, the church is ringing the bells in the morning). Free parking was nearby. 6km away from Haro.

Clean. As described. Really friendly host. Great location for Rover Tajo activities.Everything worked and we had everything we needed to anhance our stay. Wonderful. Loved the view from the dining table.

The apartment is comfortable, clean, and conveniently located to places to eat and Haro. On top of that, our host was top notch and making sure we had everything we needed.

This is my second time at this property, and everything is always so easy. The host is phenomenal and always makes sure one is comfortable and pleased. Extremely accommodating, and a wonderful host. Everything good, minimal activity in town but quiet, very clean facility
