It was so easy to get to straight from the motorway, it was a beautiful hotel, very clean, the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a beautiful spread. Abi the waiter was so helpful to us as we have disabled ones in our party, he was always offering to fetch things for us. There is also a beautiful fish tank in the shape of a triangle prism which lights up as you walk past. The hallways were very wide so plenty of room for people with wheelchairs or scooters and there is a swimming pool which is free to use during your stay.

All staff very friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant. The swimming pool is first rate.

So much for the kids to do. Loved the little treasure hunt when we got to the room. Chef from the burger restaurant came to see if everything was okay. All staff in that restraunt was very friendly. Pool was perfect for younger kids up to 10ish

Cliveden House is packed with history. The present house (it's the third on the site) is mid-19th century and there are portraits and prints everywhere, as well as a terrific book in each bedroom about the history of the house and the people who lived there. The view from the main dining room and the residents' sitting room is stunning, out over the parterre and the huge lawn. The bedrooms are very well equipped. A real bonus is the spa with an indoor and outdoor pool, steam room and two hot tubs. Everything is beautifully presented, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is excellent.
