The location was ideal 1st stop on the orange express bus right beside Edinburgh zoo. Bus stop outside the door also had other buses into the city in 15 20 mins. Bathroom immaculate, room itself had 2 double beds that were very comfortable. I requested a quiet room away from restaurant area and was given a perfect spot. We opened the window in the morning and heard monkeys chattering from across the way in the zoo :-) but no noise during the night when the windows were closed. I turned on Air con unit working during the night with fan setting which wasn't loud but nice white noise for the children. Lovely stay and would definitely go back.

The room was great, and I appreciated the convenience of using the QR code to cancel housekeeping for the next day, so I didn't have to worry about someone knocking on my door if I slept in. The breakfast they had was also worth the extra cost.

The bed was so comfortable:) Modern hotel, it’s good that it has a Starbucks on the ground floor. We tried also the pub there, the breakfast and dinner were delicious also

Amazing view to the castle. Great service by Ethan. Amazing breakfast experience. The room was always nicely cleaned and the location of the hotel is great. It was also great to have some break from the city and enjoy the pool and sauna.

It was peaceful, clean, comforting, and spacious. It was away from the crowd, easily accessible by bus. At night, the bus was every 1 hour; and if I'm not mistaken the bus was running every 10 minutes through the day. If we could've stayed there for longer, we definitely would've.

Great, safe location. Close to sightseeing spots and night life. Rooms are tidy and comfy. Staff is friendly and efficient. It’s just a great stay.

The property is the most magnificent building in Edinburgh. The staff went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. They helped us in getting a doctor when my baby became unwell there - thank you. Thank you also for the lovely baby welcome gifts, they made my daughter very happy :). Rooms were large and very comfortable. We will be back :)

Convenient quiet location a few mins away from central Waverly station, Waverly Bridge (for the Airport shuttle) & Royal Mile. Indoor pool, steam/sauna rooms, spa & gym were a bonus. Friendly staff service. Our superior double-room (& bathroom) was really spacious & the well-sealed windows kept room largely quiet on the 8th floor.

My father worked in the Caledonian Hotel Edinburgh before the 2nd World War. I always promised myself a stay att the Hotel. Ive done it and could be back !! I enjoyed myself very much. My castle view. The staff were all fantastc.

Great location, beautiful decor and the most comfortable hotelbed I’ve ever slept in ! Borrow the bikes, so much fun to explore the city.

The beds were comfortable, the room was quite spacious, and the bathroom was the best I've had during my UK trip! The location was superb, so close to the Holyrood palace and everything else I wanted to see were within walking distance. I wish I could've stayed longer.
