This is a very nice property and the owners were very friendly and helpful. It is a about 10 - 15 minutes by car from Anghiari, so too far to walk. The road from the main highway to the house is passable by a normal car, but is windy and rough. The room and bathroom were spotless and the breakfast was very good. The pool was being renovated during my stay and it will be very nice when the work is done. There is a small village about 5 minutes away by car with a good, inexpensive restaurant and bar.

Il Cardo Resort is a 15th-century farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside, 1.2 mi outside the medieval village of Anghiari. It offers luxury rooms with wood-beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls.

Il Cardo is a place I’ll remember for a long time. The property, gardens, pool, and views are beautiful, but what makes it truly special is the warmth of Dania and her partner. They take a genuine interest in every guest and create an atmosphere where strangers quickly become friends. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the occasional dinners were a highlight, with delicious food, great conversation, and unforgettable sunsets. One evening, a few of us who had met over dinner wandered out to watch the fireflies together—a spontaneous and enchanting memory I’ll always associate with Il Cardo. 🧚

Badia il Vingone was the real place for us, like a group of 10 people plus 2 children for our stay in Citta di Castelo. The apartments were fully equipped with all necessary things for comfort stay. We highly recommended this place for a peaceful stay in Citta di castelo .
